Charges can be amended or dis- missed.) *** Sunday, July 11 *The driver of a diesel flatbed flew through two traffic signals near S. Redwood Hwy. and E. Watkins Street at 1:21 a.m. Speeds reached 90 mph before the truck crashed in the 9000 block of Caves Hwy. Timothy Franklin Montgomery was tazed and detained in Josephine County Jail (JCJ) for felony and misdemeanor elude, reckless driving, reckless endangering, resisting arrest, and driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII). Monday, July 12 *At 3:13 p.m. a caretaker and her client were left high and dry after a search warrant was served at a neighboring property in the 6400 block of Takilma Road. They had no water in the shared well and needed to know when they could turn on a breaker. *A citizen claimed that a fighter was foaming at the mouth during an altercation in the 300 block of S. Redwood Hwy. at 10:59 p.m. *A tall thin stranger in a floral dress entered a residence in the 100 block of Boundary Avenue at 8:30 a.m. and asked if anyone was home. The resident and her shot gun convinced the intruder that the house was indeed occupied. *Folks in the 200 block of Dogwood Lane phoned 911 at 2:07 p.m. because their canine was stuck in a bush. The pooch was not trapped, it just did not want to leave the shady spot and was eventually retrieved with a pole. *Colby Nicolas was charged with DUII at 10:48 p.m. near Caves Hwy. and S. Old Stage Road. Nicolas was released and cited to appear in lieu of arrest Aug. 31. Wednesday, July 14 Tuesday, July 13 *Justin Bennett had a felony warrant from Oregon State Parole Board for parole violation for burglary. He was detained in JCJ following his arrest at 10:24 a.m. near the 25600 block of Redwood Hwy. *A piece of cardboard with a child’s writing and the words ‘please help me…help, help’ was found in the 900 block of Caves Hwy. at 12:16 p.m. It was a prank sign, and the mischievous youngsters were on their way to Minnesota with their father. *Folks were feuding in the 9500 block of Takilma Road at 2:58 p.m. *A Scrooge stole a 20- year accumulation of holiday decorations from a storage building behind McGrew’s I .V. gUNS & AMMO 541- 592- 3349 Restaurant and Lounge in the 33100 block of Redwood Hwy. July 13. *Swimmers cleared out when they heard a gunshot at 4:25 p.m. near a water gauging station near Takilma Road. Thursday, July 15 *At 12:13 a.m. a white truck rolled over near Holland Loop and Hays Cutoff, but the optimistic driver said he was OK and would return to get his vehicle. Unfortunately, by 7 a.m. the white 1997 Toyota Tacoma was gone, along with his cell phone, tools, and his daughter’s hover board. *A burglar entered a home in the 1300 block of Lakeshore Drive while the resident was asleep. The confused caller described the animals as weighing 50-60 pounds, but the 180-200 pound hogs would not fit in the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) service vehicle for transport. *Ramona Williams was taken into custody at 4:50 p.m. while shopping at a farmers’ market in Kerby. River Street. *At 5:14 p.m. a gutsy but clueless gal claimed that she was going to the 9500 block of Takilma Road, despite a restraining order against her. Her cats needed to be fed, plants watered, and she had nowhere else to go. She had no fuel, no food, and was starving.
