Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Monday, August 13 *On Aug. 9 at 8:30 a.m., a fellow was chasing a woman in her car in the 400 block of E. River Street. She claimed he spun circles while trying to run her over with his small black Chevy. He was upset because she wouldn’t give back his $500 rental deposit until someone else rents the house. In the meantime, she is in fear for her life, and is worried that his dogs might attack her goats. *At 9:11 a.m. an angry mother drove to the 200 block of Kerby Mainline Road and told a guy that he owed her $2,000 and child support. When he informed her that there was a restraining order against her, she crashed her truck into his gate. (What a constructive solution.) *Some worm stole a wallet from a fishing bag at Grayback Campground on Caves Hwy. between Aug. 7-8. The wallet contained a fishing license, food stamp card, and school identification. *A former roommate was suspected of flinging a rock through a window in the 500 block of Schumacher Street at 4:12 a.m. *A man died in the 1800 block of Lone Mountain Road Friday, and there was a conflict with a home health care assistant and a family member over the deceased man’s belongings based on his wishes. Items included his wallet, money clip, firearms, and various other items. The worker was advised to return his belongings to the deceased man’s family, unless she could provide a will stating otherwise. *Hanne Compton, 43, was arrested in the 10000 block of Caves Hwy. at 12:47 p.m. Compton was detained in JoCo Jail for restraining order violation and second-degree criminal mischief. *A fugitive was cited and released to appear in Jackson County Circuit Court Sept. 11. Christopher Lee Murray, 44, was arrested at 3:51 p.m. near Schumacher Street and S. Kerby Avenue for two warrants from Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. Murray was charged with failure to appear for third-degree assault- driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUIII), reckless, driving under the influence (DUI), and fourth-degree assault. There was an additional warrant for possession of a controlled substance (PCS)-meth, and he was also cited for driving while suspended-violation (DWS-V). Tuesday, August 14 *A fellow had his car washed Aug. 3, and Aug. 4 someone ran into his nice clean vehicle in the 500 block of E. River Street. He didn’t notice the damaged right rear bumper and tail light until days later when he went to play poker. *At 1:19 p.m. a guy went to the Illinois Valley substation to report that he had been kidnapped and tied up with zip-ties in the 600 block of Althouse Creek Road in December. He had no evidence or witness account of the incident, but he claimed that he was arrested by Oregon State Police, and that his public defender received a confession from a neighbor, who admitted to the incident. Wednesday, August 15 *JCSO apprehended three fugitives in the 100 block of Dogwood Lane at 10:07 a.m. Gary Nicholas Baida will spend his 53rd birthday in JoCo Jail. Baida had a felony warrant from Jackson County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for PCS- meth. Baida also had a felony warrant from Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) for the same thing, so he was detained in JoCo Jail. Amber Nikole Baker, 27, was cited to appear Sept. 11 for a Jackson County felony warrant for failure to appear for import/ export marijuana, distribution of a controlled substance, and PCS-marijuana. Dottie Wynette Greenlee, 31, was detained in Jo Co Jail for a felony warrant from Grants Pass Department of Public Safety (GPDPS) for failure to appear for PCS-meth and third- degree theft. Jonathan Nemoede, 36, was arrested on a probation detainer. *A determined dame was hanging out near the bakery tables at Shop Smart Foods on Aug. 10 at 9:30 a.m. She has been warned and trespassed several times, but she just keeps coming back. *On Aug. 13, a couple of shysters tried to steal more than $200 worth of meat, beer and soda from Shop Smart Foods at 12:55 p.m. *A blonde driving a green Yukon SUV needs to clean up her act. She stole Tide pods and a box of fabric softener from Shop Smart Foods Aug. 15 at 7:25 a.m. *A clueless individual was driving at a high rate of speed through the Secret Trailer Park in the 900 block of Caves Hwy. at 11:47 a.m. When a guy yelled at him regarding his driving, the jerk pulled a handgun, then drove away in a light brown Toyota car with tinted windows and a broken muffler. *A report was filed for assault after a teenager was punched repeatedly by a fellow with red hair and beard at 12:10 p.m. The hangry hot-head pounded the boy’s head into the concrete floor because he cut him off as he as he walked into Shop Smart Foods. *Robert Anthony Banaga will celebrate his 40th birthday in JoCo Jail (Does the jail give out cake and ice cream, or do the criminals just want to hang with their cronies?) Banaga was arrested at 2:59 p.m. in the 23100 block of Redwood Hwy. for failure to register as a sex offender, as well as two felony warrants. Oregon State Parole Board held a warrant for parole violation for burglary, and GPDPS had a felony secret indictment for eluding police.
