All persons listed are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Monday, July 30 *A loud “plink” sound was heard at 9:30 a.m. July 28. A large window near the front door of Wild River Pizza was shattered, and a large chunk of asphalt was laying on the ground below the window. *A woman said she left the 300 block of S. Kerby Avenue at 11:47 a.m. because of a dangerous man who was destroying her house. Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) investigated, and arrested Robin Joseph McCafferty, 37, for a felony warrant for failure to appear for dangerous drugs. McCafferty was detained in Josephine County Jail. Ironically, he was not the subject of the 911 call, he just happened to be in the right place at the wrong time. The troublemaker was long gone before law enforcement arrived. *Girls gone wild in Jubilee Park at 12:37 p.m. ended with two women detained in JoCo Jail. Melissa Lowenstein was yelling racial slurs at Pumba. Lowenstein, 51, was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespass, as well as a JCSO misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear for menacing and disorderly conduct. Amanda Jo Briney had a felony warrant from Grants Pass Department of Public Safety (GPDPS) for possession of a controlled substance (PCS)-meth. Briney also had a JCSO felony warrant for probation violation for dangerous drugs. *There was a report of a man carrying a black rifle near Walters Drive and Laurel Road at 12:51 p.m. He was wearing a hat, dark pants, and had a blue backpack. Tuesday, July 31 *At 9:12 a.m. a character threatened to shoot bottle rockets at his ex-boss in the 100 block of Pugetville Road. He was upset because he was fired for stealing several pounds of weed (not dandelions). *Unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle occurred at 1:34 p.m. in a parking lot in the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy. Stolen items include a handmade long-blade English sword, a Viking sword, and a Bluepoint tool kit. The visitor also reported the loss of his passport, plus Social Security and offshore information. He was provided with options to contact Homeland Security. An employee at the tavern has footage of a white SUV that was related to the crime. *At 3:23 p.m. a fellow in the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy. said he had large bricks of C-4 plastic explosives that he wanted to turn over to law enforcement. Oregon State Police (OSP) was notified, and two homes were evacuated. OSP bomb squad personnel retrieved and secured the items, which were possibly clay. (Bet they got a bang out of that.) *A con artist with funny money passed a fake $100 bill to a business in the 25000 block of Redwood Hwy. July 23 at 2:35 p.m. Surveillance video was presented to JCSO. *It was not cool for a customer to pay for one bag of ice and take three, so the manager intervened July 27. That night, all the locks were cut off the freezer in the 25000 block of Redwood Hwy., and some blockhead stole most of the ice. *Squatters stole a generator, a saw, hand tools, a grinder, a bag of sockets, and other tools from the 9700 block of Thompson Creek Road. Wednesday, August 1 *What kind of a person would trespass into a fire camp and steal items? William Cozad, 36, was arrested at Lake Selmac for probation detainer for theft at 9:41 a.m. and detained in JoCo Jail. *Bloody footprints left a trail from near Hwy. 199 and E. River Street to the 100 block of N. Redwood Hwy. Photos and blood samples were taken for an OSP investigation of a stabbing incident. *A guy in the 100 block of S. Hussey Avenue lost his pistol and Uncle Mike cloth holster while riding a quad on Reeves Creek in October 2017. He forgot about the black Taurus Tracker 4410 revolver, .410 gauge and .45 long colt calibers, with fiber-optic sights until he saw an ad online for one. Thursday, August 2 *A fellow in the 400 block of Queen of Bronze was annoying his neighbor in the 100 block of Cowboy Way by blaring loud music from his porch at 9:40 a.m., but at least the queen didn’t yell at the cowboy on this occasion. The antagonizer was still in violation of a restraining order, but he refused to come out of his house when law enforcement arrived. *On Aug. 1, a landscaper noticed that a wire fence was cut, and a shed door was damaged in the 500 block of E. Forks Circle. Two gas cans and a Husqvarna weed eater and blower were missing from a wooden storage shed. *A woman has been trespassing at a storage business in the 100 block of Hogue Drive for a year, yelling and harassing customers, and the owners are very frustrated with the situation. Friday, August 3 *A dozen gunshots were heard at 10:20 a.m. in the 27700 block of Redwood Hwy. (Ammosexuals can’t see all the smoke in the air?) Saturday, August 4 *A strange character was making weird sounds, maybe rapping or singing, near a gate in the 700 block of Althouse Creek Road at 11:01 a.m. He asked a passerby to phone the drug division of OSP because the neighbors to the west were trying to set him up for a murder. Sunday, August 5 *There was a cat fight and a zucchini plant war going on between neighbors in the 400 block of Addison Lane Aug. 2-3. *A gal in the 100 block of Walters Drive was being a pain in the glass when she broke windows in vehicles during an argument at 2:12 p.m. *A fellow didn’t know his address on Tartar Gulch, but he was five miles up the road. He notified JCSO that someone broke into his shed and truck, then took a key to get into his house. Stolen items include a Stihl chainsaw and a Luger P’08 pistol, 9mm.
