Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Monday, May 28 Tuesday, May 29 *A confrontational cretin was harassing folks near the intersection of N. Redwood Hwy. and Caves Hwy. May 26 at 12:20 p.m. He was hollering “your days are numbered, old man”. According to Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), there’s nothing they can do unless the subject has the intent, means and opportunity to follow through with the threat. (Take heart, everyone’s days are numbered.) *Luey Magic Ocean Glenn, 29, was escorted back to Josephine County (JoCo) Jail following his arrest near S. Redwood Hwy. and E. Watkins Street at 1:16 p.m. Glenn was wanted for probation detainer and a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear for second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. *A fugitive with a felony warrant from Las Vegas, NV. was apprehended at 3:22 p.m. in the 100 block of Warren Road. Dustin Scott Howlett was charged with *Carrie Thom, 47, was contacted at 3:25 p.m. in Jubilee Park, due to a felony warrant from Grants Pass Department of Public Safety. Thom was charged with failure to appear for possession of a controlled substance-meth and cited to appear June 19 in lieu of arrest. *Law enforcement talked with Kaleb John Bartee in the 300 block of S. Redwood Hwy. at 4:22 p.m. He was cited because he had two misdemeanor warrants from JCSO for failure to appear for contempt of court. Bartee was also trespassed from Jubilee Park for one year. Wednesday, May 30 *A fellow in the 1200 block of Reeves Creek Road was harassing his neighbor by playing foul music on a boom box placed inside a cardboard box. He ran an extension cord to the ghetto blaster, then placed it within a foot of her property fence. She feels this is retaliation because he doesn’t like her farm animals. (With a moo-moo here, and a hip- hop there.) *A gal was throwing a hissy- fit in the 500 block of S. Junction Avenue at 9:29 a.m. She was screaming and knocked a phone out of her dad’s hand because she thought his friend stole her speaker. Once she found it, she left the house to cool off. *A guy was sucker-punched for using the wrong pool table at a Cave Junction saloon May 26. He produced x-ray photos showing that his broken jaw was wired shut following the altercation. Surveillance video from the saloon will be provided to law enforcement later in the week. A report was filed for assault. *At 2:33 p.m. a dapper dude wearing blue spandex pants and a stocking cap was ripping up magazines and disrupting traffic near Caves Hwy. and S. Redwood Hwy. Daniel Gordon was swinging a four-foot aluminum bar and ignoring lawful orders from a peace officer to set down the strip of metal, so he was tazed. Gordon was detained in JoCo Jail for second-degree disorderly conduct, offensive littering, and interfering with a peace officer. Thursday, May 31 *An individual in the 200 block of W. Watkins Street reported May 20 that two bottles of pain medication and $20 in change were taken from the console of his unlocked car. It seemed odd that he insisted he was not making the report to get more medication, then repeated this phrase more than three times during the conversation with law enforcement. *On May 30, a driver transported a GW Storage Container in the 100 block of Cowboy Way. In the process, he knocked over an engine, and backed over no-trespass signs and several trees. (Oops.) *At 1:22 p.m., Jerry’s Towing Company removed an orange 1989 Dodge Dakota from Kerby High Pines, in case anyone is looking for it. Friday, June 1 *Two rear tires were slashed on a truck in the 33100 block of Redwood Hwy. May 31. The tire stabber was driving a white Dodge diesel truck with a “Sinew Moon” decal. *Folks in the 100 block of N. Caves Avenue heard shuffling sounds at 3 a.m. The man of the house chased a burglar from their living room, but a long list of medications and $30 were stolen. Saturday, June 2 *A representative from Mastercard contacted a customer in the 24500 block of Redwood Hwy. to verify a purchase May 27 at Dollar General. Since he did not use the card, he needed a police report to access video footage of the crime. His bank reimbursed the charges, and he is cooperating with law enforcement to identify the suspect. Sunday, June 3 *James Randolph Bellah, 40, was taken into custody at 1:46 p.m. near S. Redwood Hwy. and E. Watkins Street. Bellah knew he was supposed to report his new address, but he didn’t do so. He was charged with failure to register as a sex offender and hauled off to JoCo Jail. Again. *A chap was operating a saw mill not far from a neighbor’s bedroom window in the 100 block of Mesa Verde Drive. Before that, he processed rocks in a very noisy machine for eight hours a day.
