Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Monday, Feb. 12 *Homeless people left used syringes around a building near Rockydale Road and Hwy. 199. The owners boarded up the structure and placed the squatters’ belongings outside. *Erick Byers, 39, was taken into custody at 3:40 p.m. at 220 S. Redwood Hwy. due to a restraining order violation (ROV). Byers was detained in Josephine County Jail. Tuesday, Feb. 13 *At 9:13 a.m., an unobservant driver ran into the back of a log truck that had stopped for a pedestrian in a crosswalk in the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. *Trouble was brewing in the 200 block of W. O’Brien Street, with reports of two people swearing and yelling at 9:58 and 10:29 a.m. Alan Gooden, 38, was arrested for ROV, and transported to Jo Co Jail. *Between Feb. 1-12, neighbors weren’t getting along in the 200 block of Kerby Street. Each complained that the other was harassing her, cussing, and swearing for no apparent reason. *Homeless folks pitched their tents in the 300 block of Hussey Avenue. They were warned for trespassing and packed up their belongings at 2:35 p.m. *A resourceful fellow with long, scraggly hair stood in front of Dairy Queen at 213 S. Redwood Hwy. at 12:50 p.m. The dude wore a tie-dye shirt, and carried a sign that stated “Ganja, come and get it.” (Girl Scouts’ marketing plan in reverse.) Wednesday, Feb. 14 *A gal driving a green Pathfinder was observed removing items from a vacant house in the 600 block of Frederick Court at 12:16 p.m. *Scott Charles Hicks, 51, was taken into custody near Raymond Street and S. Junction Avenue at 3:03 p.m. Hicks was detained in Jo Co Jail for an Oregon State Parole Board felony warrant for parole violation for second-degree assault. Thursday, Feb. 15 *A citizen was concerned because the front door was torn off a house in the 100 block of Warren Road at 11:55 a.m. I.V. GUNS & AMMO 541-592-3349 Friday, Feb. 16 *At 9:19 a.m. a deceased man was found in his PT Cruiser in the 100 block of Hogue Drive. A deputy brought his wallet and car keys to his residence in the 4200 block of Lakeshore Drive. At 4:11 p.m., his widow tried to retrieve his vehicle, but a callous cad refused to let her take it until a friend intervened. Saturday, Feb. 17 *A not-too-sharp individual cut a hole in fencing in the 200 block of W. Watkins Street between noon, Feb. 15 and 6 a.m., Feb. 16. *Deputies responded to two reports of domestic violence involving new residents in the 27500 block of Redwood Hwy. The parties agreed to remain separate at 4:26 p.m. Alisa Fay Lobo, 59, was cited to appear in Junction City March 1 on a misdemeanor warrant for fourth-degree assault. Sunday, Feb. 18 *A gal was living in a silver-colored Grand Prix with a broken back window near a coffee kiosk at 110 Deer Creek Road. The damsel in distress claimed that her car would not start, her sister was unwilling to help, and she had no local resources to assist her. She was provided with numerous options and given 24 hours to move the vehicle, or it would be towed. *Cari Ginevra, 30, was arrested at 3:46 p.m. near S. Redwood Hwy. and Hamilton Avenue.
