Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Sunday, August 27 *A couple of local yokels were up to their usual shenanigans in Jubilee Park at 1:44 p.m. Melissa Lowenstein was warned for trespass and left. Michael Adam Massey, 37, has a felony warrant for failure to appear for dangerous drugs. He was cited to appear on Sept. 21 in lieu of arrest. *At 1:52 p.m. a gal claimed that a red sedan with a female driver and male passenger were just on her property in the 33200 block of Redwood Hwy. She believes the strangers took some of her belongings. She had no idea what items were taken, but she was sure once law enforcement located the thieves, the stolen goods would be on the floor board. The DMV records for the Chevy Equinox that she described showed that it belongs to a couple from Beaverton, with no local priors. *A fellow owns land at the end of Thompson Creek Road near a Bureau of Land Management road. He blocked off his property because folks were dumping trash there. Every time he places rocks as a barrier, a neighbor removes them because he does not believe that it is really his property. He doesn’t want to kick rocks at his neighbor, but he is tired of replacing them. Monday, August 28 *A gal in the 100 block of S. Kerby Avenue woke up and said, “Someone’s been sleeping in my back yard”, so she phoned 911 at 9:39 a.m. A deputy retrieved a bag of clothing, which he will deliver to the uninvited guest, along with a warning for trespassing. *Amber Lynn Gaylord, 29, was arrested at 1:12 p.m. at the Cave Junction Substation for probation violation and possession of meth. She was detained in Josephine County Jail. *Siblings and a future divorcee were feuding over hay in the 5700 block of Holland Loop at 1:17 p.m. he claimed people were after him for his $971 million. The uncooperative fellow didn’t know his girlfriend’s last name, her father’s name, or their phone numbers. He threatened to take JCSO to court if they didn’t help, but provided no information so they could. When a dispatcher checked the map for the area described, none of the roads matched. *Several people at Josephine Campground were warned at 4:53 p.m. for residing on federal land, dogs off leashes, excessive trash, living room furniture, and free- ranging goats. Wednesday, August 30 *Two people were cited, and released to appear in lieu of arrest at Josephine Campground at 1:11 p.m. Brandon Santiago, 28, and Michelle Santiago, 41, were charged with second-degree trespass and offensive littering. (Save jail space, assign litter patrol.) Thursday, August 31 Tuesday, August 29 *Bravo to Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) dispatchers for deciphering a 911 call received at 10:42 a.m. from Smarkland Road. A disoriented dude requested assistance for his girlfriend, who was being harassed, and WHERE’S THE ALARM? A home owner reported an increase of criminal activity in that area recently, so he was advised of options regarding securing his properties. *A mailbox was stolen from the 9400 block of Thompson Creek Road. (Why?) was asleep, someone used his bathroom and left toilet paper behind. They took keys for his blue and silver-colored 2006 Dodge Magnum with a custom paint job. A report was filed for unauthorized use of a vehicle, first-degree theft, and first and second-degree burglary. *An alert citizen witnessed a collision in the 4400 block of Deer Creek Road at 12:50 p.m. A guy was driving a white and yellow pickup truck, towing a green aluminum boat. He pulled to the side of the road, and a gal in a small gray sedan intentionally rammed the front of the truck multiple times. (No fishing until the dump run is done.) Sunday, September 3 Friday, September 1 *Wildfires and smoke everywhere, yet a braniac driving a yellow convertible threw a lit cigarette out of the window at MP 18 on Hwy. 199 at 2:27 p.m. *A black 2015 Scion XP was towed after a collision with a white and silver-colored Ford F-150 at 205 W. Watkins Street at 3:47 p.m Saturday, September 2 *At 9:20 a.m. a guy claimed a gal came to his door in the 200 block of Davis Creek Road at 1:30 a.m., asking for a battery. While he *A fellow was walking into traffic near S. Redwood Hwy. and W. Watkins Street, causing vehicles to stop or swerve around him. He tried to avoid warrant arrest by providing false information in the form of someone else’s ID. Michael May, 27, was arrested at 11:19 a.m. and detained at Josephine County Jail. May was charged with disorderly conduct, interfering, false information, and possession of a controlled substance – meth residue.
