All persons listed are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** 2014 to folks in Redmond. *Wiring was stripped from a garage in the 2500 block of Chapman Creek Road within the past month. The entire garage was packed full of at least 150 stacked old tires, which had been dumped there by a tireless individual. Wednesday, July 19 *A tool box and bicycle were reported as stolen from Chateau at Oregon Caves at 9:28 a.m. *Surveillance video will be reviewed for clues to a break-in at 213 S. Redwood Hwy. Two windows and the door to a cake case were broken. A report was filed for burglary, criminal mischief, and third- degree theft, and a possible suspect was named. *Law enforcement apprehended a man in the 200 block of Dogwood Lane at 1:36 p.m. Anthony Kirkman, 35, was cited and released to appear at Josephine County Circuit Court, and a report was filed for failure to register as a sex offender. *Justin Taylor, 28, hit his father in the face at 2:07 p.m. in the 100 block of Ken Rose Lane. He then left wearing camo shorts, no shirt, and carrying a 40-quart ice chest. A deputy took Taylor into custody, and returned the cooler and food to his father. Information was provided regarding obtaining a restraining order. *At 2:35 p.m. a property owner in the 38500 block of Redwood Hwy. complained of unwanted visitors in a stolen white Range Rover with a black top. One trespasser left when confronted by law enforcement, the other was gone before they arrived. The Rover was confirmed stolen by Portland Police Department, so it was recovered. A utility trailer was sold in Thursday, July 20 *An inoperable green Ford F150 with broken windows and missing the rear wheels was dumped overnight in the parking lot of Jubilee Park. The Ford was stolen from Crescent City, per California Highway Patrol (CHP). *A mean mother in the 100 block of Lone Mountain Road was seen throwing a 6-year-old boy to the ground and yelling at him at 12:23 p.m. When the little guy tried to leave, she put him into a white and gold-colored 2012 Dodge Ram Bighorn with Texas plates. She was towing a tan and white Coachman 5th-wheel trailer. The matter was referred to CHP for a welfare check. *There was a civil dispute at 12:30 p.m. at Oregon Caves Chevron. A fellow found his girlfriend’s stolen vehicle, but it was being driven by a woman who claimed that she just bought it. Friday, July 21 *A 27-year-old chap was throwing rocks and causing a disturbance in the 300 block of W. O’Brien Street at 9:02 a.m. Four boys, ages 9, 6, 4, and 2, were in the residence, and one brave youngster yelled at the rock-flinger to stop what he was doing. Law enforcement provided advice, and gave the hot- head a ride to O’Brien County Store to cool off. *More ‘parents gone wild’ in front of their 3, 5 and 7-year- old children in the 200 block of Thompson Creek Road at 10:39 a.m. The guy broke a bunch of property and took away the gal’s phone when she tried to phone 911. A deputy provided information regarding restraining orders and other options. *At 1:15 p.m. a mother in the 300 block of Tycer Crossing reported receiving threatening messages from her 34-year-old son. She said his birthday was in February, but she didn’t know the date. (Wasn’t she there?) He sent her 28 text messages, and one made reference to her becoming food. Saturday, July 22 *Clueless canine owners locked their dogs in a silver-colored Dodge Ram with the windows rolled up in the parking lot by Swinging Bridge near Illinois River Trailhead at 11:59 a.m. One owner felt that the dogs were fine because they had a bowl of water in the cab. She didn’t believe it would get hot in the truck because the windows were tinted. Notes were faxed to Josephine County Animal Control. Sunday, July 23 *A fellow in the 200 block of Ollis Road stated that his white 1997 Honda Accord was stolen between 5:45-9:45 a.m. There were no keys in the Honda, and there was a club, but the thief removed it. The vehicle was not even registered to the new owner yet, but he did have the pink slip. A report was filed for second-degree theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. *Two vehicles collided near Caves Hwy. and S. Old Stage Road at 12:44 p.m. A motorist was not prepared to stop when the car in front of him slowed for turning traffic. *A deputy checked on a gal in a Toyota Tacoma in a gravel pit near Waldo Road and Rockydale Road at 2:12 p.m. Her truck was full of clothing and miscellaneous items. She stated that she purchased the truck for $3,000 cash, and she “hoped” it wasn’t stolen. (Wherever would she get that idea?) *Some people just never learn life’s lessons. Luey Magic Ocean Music Glenn, 28, was arrested near E. Watkins Street and S. Junction Avenue at 3:19 p.m. Glenn was detained in Josephine County Jail for a felony warrant for failure to appear on charges of second-degree burglary and third-degree theft. (Karma.) Monday, July 24 *An abandoned vehicle with front-end damage was being stripped in the 1900 block of Lakeshore Drive at 9:09 a.m. The tan SUV was confirmed stolen by Grants Pass Department of Public Safety. The not- so-clever thief even left his calling card - jail wristbands were found inside the vehicle. *On July 19, a vindictive ex- husband trespassed at the home of his wife and daughter in the 38000 block of Redwood Hwy. After threatening them and forcing them to leave, he spray-painted vulgar words on the outside of the home. He destroyed her vehicle, and poured bleach on the interior furnishings of the home. The demolition dad drives a white Range Rover. *Between June 1 and July 22, items were stolen from the 400 block of S. Junction Avenue. *A fugitive in a green Chevy pickup truck was located at 3:27 WHERE’S THE ALARM? 24500 blk REDWOOD HWY, Traffic Accident The volunteers and staff of the W 6TH ST / REDWOOD HWY, Outdoor Smoke/Odor Responded to these recent Emergency calls 42.0863160000000000, -123.6756280000000000, Medical Emergency Illinois Valley Fire District p.m. in the 200 block of Palmer Street. Christopher James Dulong, 44, was cited to appear in Glendale Municipal Court for failure to appear and contempt on a warrant from Douglas County. He was also cited into Josephine County Court for misdemeanor driving while suspended. He was warned for improper display and failure to carry insurance. *A fellow in the 100 block of Kinnikinnick Drive reported his motorcycle stolen in February, but he recovered it himself in May. Tuesday, July 25 *A report was received at 6:30 a.m. that an individual in the 200 block of Beaver Meadow Road was deceased. *A tan Toyota Tacoma stolen from Waldport, Oregon was recovered from (wait for it) Waldo Road at 9:15 a.m. *At 10:10 a.m. a gal in the 300 block of S. Kerby Avenue phoned 911 because her boyfriend was ruining her garden by pulling up plants. (Just a wild guess, but probably not dandelions.) *A ranch owner was in Seattle when he found out that his fence was in disrepair, and his cow was loose near Finch Road and Westside Road at 11:10 a.m. Folks were trying to steer it off the roadway. *Melissa Jayne Lowenstein, 50, was arrested at 1:33 p.m. at Jubilee Park, and detained in Josephine County Jail for a misdemeanor warrant.
