Continued from A-7 *On May 23 between 11-11:30 a.m., a fellow was walking across Hwy. 199 near Hanby Lane when a redhead driving a white extended cab Dodge Ram pickup truck nearly hit him. He yelled at the motorist, who threatened to shoot him next time he saw him in the road. *Law enforcement investigated at McCaleb Ranch at 12:51 p.m. *Two sisters had quite an audience when they were squabbling at 1:08 p.m. in the 100 block of Hogue Drive. There were no apparent injuries from the cat fight. *A citizen complained of a gold-colored Ford Escort that was blocking 90 percent of a driveway in the 1000 block of Lakeshore Drive at 1:20 p.m. A deputy noted that the disabled vehicle was out of the road, not a hazard, and only blocked 50 percent of the driveway. *When an employee with Primary Health Insurance spoke with a client regarding Oregon Health Plan, he became very volatile, screaming and yelling. He was upset over not getting any help or assistance. She requested a welfare check on the customer in the 4200 block of Lakeshore Drive at 2:01 p.m. He was OK, but did not want to talk with deputies at 5:40 p.m. *Everything was fine in the 200 block of S. Old Stage Road at 2:08 p.m. *A deputy spoke with an individual in the 200 block of S. Redwood Hwy. at 3:05 p.m. *On May 22, a fellow parked his pewter-colored 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe at a restaurant in the 18000 block of Redwood Hwy. Afterwards, he noticed his rear passenger door had been smashed, and there was a white paint smudge from the suspect’s vehicle. *Jubilee Park was patrolled at 3:39 p.m. *At 4:13 p.m. a deputy checked the 500 block of S. Redwood Hwy. *The 100 block of N. Redwood Hwy. was clear at 4:35 p.m. *At 4:46 p.m. in the 400 block of W. River Street, a deputy caught up with a gal who had been trespassed from the Junction Inn. Justina Fair, 32, was cited to appear in lieu of arrest on a Josephine County misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on larceny charges. *A deputy made the rounds of the 200 block of S. Jesse Thomas Hopwood, 34, was detained at Josephine County Jail for felony attempt to elude and possession of meth. *A deputy will dig for some facts on a Ford Ranger that was in a gravel pit in the 2500 block of Waldo Road at 3:36 p.m. *Law enforcement checked the 800 block of Caves Hwy. at 4:01 p.m. *There was an unoccupied vehicle in the 3900 block of Westside Road at 4:09 p.m. *A motorist was warned for a defective tail light at 4:25 p.m. in the 25000 block of Redwood Hwy. *Lurline Lane was OK at 4:49 p.m. *At 4:43 p.m. a driver was warned for no front license plate near the intersection of Redwood Hwy. and Rockydale Road. *A deputy still wasn’t convinced after talking with a character in the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. at 4:54 p.m. *East Fork Bridge was patrolled at 5:04 p.m. *There were too many passengers without seatbelts in a vehicle near W. River Street and N. Kerby Avenue at 5:15 p.m. *The operator of a silver- colored Mazda was warned for speeding in the 7000 block of Rockydale Road at 5:31 p.m. *A motorist was warned for DWS/V and improper display at 5:33 p.m. in the 25600 block of Redwood Hwy. *A visitor driving a vehicle with Kansas license plates was pulled over in the 25900 block of Redwood Hwy. at 5:34 p.m. He was warned for obscured window, no registration, and no insurance. (Guess what, Toto?) *At 5:42 p.m. a deputy did some investigating at 145 N. Redwood Hwy. *A motorist near E. River Street and N. Thursday, May 25 *At 9:35 a.m. a gal said there was a burglary in the 100 block of Dick George Road. She accused a church caretaker of breaking into her trailer, pushing her, and hurting her arm. She claimed that previously he was armed with an air pistol tucked into the back of his pants. OSP sent a fax to JCSO at 8:10 a.m. with a different version. A gal broke two windows (with a broom, no less) in a mobile home located behind Bridgeview Community Church in the 5100 block of Holland Loop. The witchy woman pointed a knife during a feud about knives, a rolling cart, and a punching bag. *An elderly woman drove her white Subaru Outback over an embankment in the 25600 block of Redwood Hwy. at 9:36 a.m., and was transported by American Medical Response. *Josephine Campground was OK at 11:29 a.m. *A deputy patrolled Illinois River Road at 12:25 p.m. *Community oriented policing (COP) service was provided for Head Start in the 500 block of E. River Street at 12:25 p.m. *JCSO will research a vehicle that was on Lurline Lane and Laurel Road at 2:02 p.m. *An emu ran amok in the 300 block of E.
