Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Monday, Feb. 6 *California Highway Patrol tried to locate the owner of a 1993 Ford F150 that was found in a lake. Folks in the 100 block of Enchanted Way said they sold the truck to some guy living in Califor- nia, but his phone was discon- nected. (Or waterlogged.) *A hostile parent was screaming at the vice-prin- cipal of Illinois Valley High School at 10:40 a.m. She was trespassed, and cannot return until she is given written permission. *Two very aggressive pit-bulls were trying to bite people near the Illinois Valley Golf Course at 12:03 p.m. Both dogs were coaxed into a patrol vehicle, and they were reunited with their owners. Josephine County Animal Control provided citations. *A listless motorist in a maroon older-model station wagon was driving erratically on Lister Street at 12:24 p.m. *A gal in the 27700 block of Redwood Hwy. did not appreciate her ex-husband trespassing in her living room at 12:36 p.m. The dispatcher could hear them screaming, and the situation escalated when it sounded like he was breaking items in the back- ground. He left before law enforcement arrived. The ex- wife was given information regarding restraining orders. *The driver of a Chevy Camaro was warned for expired registration on Laurel Road and E. River Street at 2:13 p.m. *At 2:20 p.m. a chap on Laurel Road and Caves Hwy. was warned for the cracked front window in his white Ford pickup truck. *A deputy pulled over a blue Honda at 112 S. Redwood Hwy. at 2:30 p.m. Corey Reid General was cited on a warrant for driving under the influence of intoxicants. *A red vehicle rolled over into a front yard in the 1800 block of Laurel Road at 2:48 p.m. The driver gave his Oregon driver’s license in- formation to the home owner, since there was more than $500 damage to the fence. *The operator of a maroon Toyota Tacoma was warned for speeding 60 in a 45 mph zone at 2131 Laurel Road at 3:20 p.m. Outside the Valley *Twenty-one incidents. Tuesday, Feb. 7 *A 67-year-old man was found deceased in the 6300 block of Lakeshore Drive at 9:02 a.m. *Two up-to-no-good guys entered a vacant build- ing in the 300 block of Millie Street at 9:08 a.m. An alert neighbor confronted three young men when they left the WHERE’S THE ALARM? house and asked what they were doing, but they ignored her and walked away. Law enforcement officers caught and tasered one of the trio of trouble-makers. Cody Lee Weaver, 26, was detained at Josephine County Jail on a warrant for failure to ap- pear for dangerous drugs and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Additional charges included possession of meth, resist- ing arrest, and second-degree criminal trespass. *On Feb. 4 between 5-5:30 p.m., a silver-colored Toyota 4x4 pickup truck was damaged while parked in the 100 block of Deer Creek Road. The passenger rear quarter panel was dented and scratched, apparently by another vehicle’s bumper. An incident number was provided for insurance purposes. *The noise com- plaints continued from the 9300 block of Takilma Road because a dude in a school bus played his electric guitar between 9-11 p.m. *At 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 4, SOS reported an alarm in the 600 block of E. River Street. The signal came from the Illinois Valley High School van parking cage off the weight room. Chains to both gates had been cut, but nothing else seemed amiss. A report was filed for theft and criminal mischief. *Two surveillance cameras were stolen from 213 S. Redwood Hwy. between 3-3:30 a.m. on Feb. 6. The theft was recorded on a com- puter, and the hoodlum wore a hoodie with large darker stripes, and white sneakers with a dark line around the toe area. The thief cut a lock and chain-link fence to gain access. A report was filed for second-degree theft and mischief. *On Feb. 1, between 6:53-7:15 p.m., a couple ordered food at the Dairy Queen drive-through. They drank three shakes, but be- came impatient because their meals were not ready. They were offered a refund if they didn’t want to wait, but then they were upset because their drinks weren’t free. The cone- heads left, but one threatened to return and “kill them all,” so a DQ employee called his mother. (No more blizzards for them.) *SOS reported an alarm in the 6100 block of Takilma Road at 10:56 a.m. *An older-model blue Lincoln with a vinyl top was parked in a church parking lot in the 400 block of S. Junction Avenue for several days. It appeared that a tall, unshaven fellow and his small brown and white dog may have been living out of the car. A citizen was concerned that recent break-ins at a nearby food bank might be related to this character. The Lincoln was last seen heading northbound on Hwy. 199. *Video camera footage in the Diggin’ Livin’ parking lot recorded a dark blue 2000 Chevy SUV that backed into a silver-colored 2007 Nissan truck between 12:15-1:30 a.m. on Feb. 6. The Nissan sus- tained a damaged rear bumper and dented side. *A deputy went to Lorna Byrne Middle School at 11:51 a.m. Drug paraphernalia was seized for disposal. *There was a report of a dead person in the 8600 block of Takilma Road. *Shuffling and faint voices, but no disturbance was heard during a 911 call from the 3300 block of Caves Hwy. at 1:01 p.m. *At 4:05 p.m. a guy reported that he lost his vehicle after he was evicted from the 600 block of Sher- wood Avenue in 2012 due to a restraining order. He didn’t have an answer as to why he waited five years to report the crime, or why he made no prior attempts to recover the vehicle. *A restraining order was served to an individual on Pinewood Way at 4 p.m. Outside the Valley *Thirty-four situations. Wednesday, Feb. 8 *The driver refused medical attention, but a tow truck was necessary follow- ing a rollover crash at 10:29 a.m. on Redwood Hwy. at Briggs Valley Road. The post and sign for Onion Mountain Road Lookout was damaged. *A traffic stop involv- ing a green Cadillac in the 25000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 11:08 a.m. resulted in an arrest. Cari Lee Ginevra, 29, was detained on a state- wide felony warrant for failure to appear and unau- thorized use of a vehicle. *At 11:30 a.m., a deputy made the rounds of W. River Street and Daily Hill Road. *A driver walked away from a vehicle at S. Redwood Hwy. and Caves Hwy. at 11:55 a.m. *Law enforcement pa- trolled Madrona Drive and S. Old Stage Road at 11:59 a.m. *A deputy stopped a green Lincoln in the 25000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 12:35 p.m. *An aggressive pit bull was trying to bite tires and stopping traffic in the 400 block of W. River Street at 1:14 p.m. The canine was contained, and its residence was flagged as having an ag- gressive dog that will bite. *There was a vehicle with switched license plates in the 100 block of S. Hussey Avenue at 1:32 p.m. The deputy educated the driver that the Department of Motor Vehicles does not allow folks to just put any plate on which- ever vehicle that they choose to drive that day. (The green tree brings out the highlights on the bumper.) *A white Mercedes has been parked for three weeks near the Eight Dollar Bridge River Access. Outside the Valley *Twenty entries.
