*A snow-bound
Mercedes on Eight Dollar
Mountain was broken into
between Jan. 9-16. At 8:58
a.m. the Mercedes owner
notified law enforcement that
he located his rack at Ray’s
Food Place in Selma. He took
photos of his rack, which was
mounted on a camo-brown
Chevy Blazer that drove away
on Lakeshore Drive. The theft
case was reopened when the
pictures were emailed to the
deputy.
*At 9:28 a.m., a white
Mercury Marquis was
blocking Laurel Road near
Redwood Hwy. The front
end was crashed, and it was
missing a back tire. There
was a mid-size collie-mix,
or maybe pit bull in the car.
The registered owner sold
the Marquis in October, and
had no information regarding
the new owner. When Jerry’s
Tow Company removed the
Mercury, the dog was no
longer in the car.
*A white Toyota Camry
was on a Bureau of Land
Management Road, located
eight miles up Thompson
Creek Road at 10:03 a.m.
The registered owner was
contacted, and he was aware
of the situation. The person
who was going to tow it for
him was waiting for the snow
to melt.
*A locked 1999 Ford
250 was removed without
permission from the 200
block of Cedar Brook Lane
between 3 p.m. on Jan. 15
and 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 16. The
lifted truck has a custom paint
job, with blue pearl-colored
paint on the top and white
pearl-colored on the bottom.
There were “SRC” stickers
in the window. A report was
filed for unauthorized use of
a vehicle.
*There was a Cadillac
with a broken window
and the hood up near the
rock pit on Waldo Road by
Rockydale Road at 12:29
p.m. A guy wearing camo
and a black hoodie ran off
when a passerby drove
in. The car belonged to a
neighbor who could not get
into his driveway, but he was
probably not aware that it had
been broken into. Missing
items included brown Danner
boots worth $300, a bright
pink C2 taser with a holster,
and a wallet with ID.
*A stolen truck was
reunited with its owner
after it was located at 25658
Redwood Hwy., just east of
the water treatment plant at

alarm. On Jan. 16, the branch
manager discovered that a
side window was broken,
and the office was ransacked.
Blank checks and all the
building keys were taken. A
report was filed for second-
degree burglary, third-degree
theft, and second-degree
mischief.
*On Jan. 12, a customer
at a gas station at 112 S.
Redwood Hwy. paid for fuel
with a counterfeit $20 bill.
Law enforcement could not
charge the suspect without
proof that he knew the bill
was phony. The funny money
was turned over to the bank.
*A vehicle was towed
from the 300 block of N.
Sawyer Avenue because it
was a hazard at 10:25 a.m.
A semi-automatic handgun
with the serial number ground
off was found during an
inventory search.
*A woman was
concerned for the safety
of her elderly stepfather
in the 100 block of Ollis
Road at 10:56 a.m. He told
her someone moved in
and refused to leave. The
stepdaughter stated that his
memory was not very good,
and he could be confused, so
she would continue to try to
contact him.
*At 11 a.m. a man
reported that someone broke
into his vehicle in the 9100
block of Caves Hwy. They
stole his wallet containing his
credit cards, driver’s license,
and cash. They also tried

breaking his attic access door.

motorist on Caves Hwy. at
Old Stage Road was cited
for improper display, driving
uninsured, and driving while
license suspended.
*Crystal Partain was
cited for third-degree theft in
the 600 block of Frederick
Court at 4:09 p.m.
*A guy claimed that an
anonymous source said his
stolen vehicle was in the 3700
block of Dick George Road at
4:01 p.m. Law enforcement
did not find his red VW GTI
with a black hood. They did
notice a small grow site,
already starting operations for
the new season.
*Someone in the 100
block of Warren Road hit the
kitchen at 4:20 p.m., per SOS
Alarm.
*A vehicle was stuck in
a ditch in the 5000 block of
Takilma Road at 4:22 p.m. It
was not a hazard, but would
be towed if not removed by
4:30 p.m. on Jan. 18.
*A highly-intoxicated
guy was falling all over the
store at 112 S. Redwood
Hwy. at 5 p.m. Then he was
slumped over the steering
wheel of his red Ford Escape.
The day before he nearly hit
a child in a crosswalk. The
vodka-laced dude said his
tent was stolen, and he had
no friends or family in the

with jumper cables still
attached.
