Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** requested a welfare check in the 4100 block of Holland Loop Road at 3:08 p.m. She was concerned because there was possible drug use occurring at that location. When a deputy arrived, he suggested that the mom should call her daughter. *A tan and white Chevy S-10 pickup truck sported license plates belonging to a Ford Bronco in the 300 block of N. Sawyer Avenue at 11:16 a.m. The truck was on private property, and was not a hazard, but law enforcement removed the invalid license plates. *At 12:48 p.m., a stolen vehicle was recovered in the 300 block of N. Sawyer Avenue. Anthony John Mistretta, 52, was cited to appear on Jan. 12, 2017 on charges of failure to appear for trespassing. William Robert Murphy, 29, was detained at Josephine County Jail for probation violation detainer. Charges were referred for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. *Staff from the City of Cave Junction were preparing to do work at the south end of S. Old Stage Road at 1:50 p.m. They requested assistance from Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) with several unoccupied camps in that area. *Oregon State Police (OSP) dispatched a fawn at 25897 Redwood Hwy. at 1:52 p.m. The trooper informed JCSO dispatcher in case anyone reported shots fired in the area. *A dedicated daughter was unable to contact her mother for 20 days, so she Wednesday, Dec. 21 JCSO logs were unavailable for Wed., Dec. 21 Thursday, Dec. 22 Tuesday, Dec. 20 Monday, Dec. 19 actually a gal who claimed that her boyfriend had given her some heroin. *A blue 1990 Honda Accord was reportedly stolen on Dec. 16 from the 200 block of Ollis Road. A few days before that, a Garmin GPS was stolen from the Honda. In the trunk of the Accord was a gray parka with a Caterpillar logo. A report was filed for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. *A deputy patrolled the Pomeroy River Estates at 12:21 p.m. *At 12:35 p.m., a motorist on N. Redwood Hwy. near E. River Street was given a citation. *A convicted felon with a loaded model 1911 firearm was watching officers during a traffic stop at E. River Street and N. Caves Avenue at 12:49 p.m. His last felony conviction was in Oregon in 2007. *The operator of a vehicle was detained in the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. at 5:42 p.m. He was cited for no insurance and illegal display because he had switched the license plates. Charges were referred to the district attorney for possession of meth. *Dispatchers received a call that there was a guy standing in the middle of the 6000 block of Rockydale Road at 6:06 p.m. The camo-clad kook was refusing to move for vehicles. The road-blocker was *A car parked in the carport at a vacant residence in the 400 block of Schumacher Street drew attention at 9:37 a.m. because no one should have been at that location. The rear window was smashed out of the primer-gray Honda with a black front fender. The registered owner was contacted, and she recovered her car. *The first 911 call came in from the 7200 block of Rockydale Road at 11:39 a.m. A gal stated that she needed help leaving because a guy was chasing her around the house. A deputy contacted them, and there was no crime committed. *On Dec. 4, a fellow was driving his golf cart home from the bank when he realized that he had dropped $4,000 in hundred dollar bills. He retraced his route back to E. Watkins Street and S. Caves Avenue, and checked with his bank, but no one had turned in the money. *At 1:03 p.m. the driver of a smaller black two-door hatchback was spotted going through mailboxes in the 300 block of Hays Cutoff Road. An employee at the U.S. Post Office advised that there were no official vehicles matching that description delivering mail. *A welfare check was requested at 1:58 p.m. in the 200 block of Shadywood Avenue. The volunteers and staff of the Illinois Valley Fire District Responded to these recent Emergency calls Monday 12/19/2016 6400 blk LAKESHORE DR, Structure Fire Hwy. A wrought iron table disappeared at the same time. The trailer’s owner requested that law enforcement view camera footage on the highway to locate his property. *An irate father barged through a front door in the 23100 block of Redwood Hwy. on Dec. 21 between 9-10 p.m. He raised his fist at the person who had temporary protective custody of his children. A restraining order (RO) will be obtained. *The intended recipient of an RO was not available at 12:27 p.m. in the 100 block of Warren Road. *Another RO could not be served at 1:08 p.m. in the 1500 block of Lone Mountain Road. *At 2:07 p.m. a customer of 18 years backed into a company vehicle in a parking lot in the 400 block of Caves Hwy. She became verbally aggressive and was not cooperating with the store manager, because she did not want the motor vehicle accident to go through her insurance company. To show her remorse, she drove her tan Toyota Tacoma into the white 2003 Chevy S-10 again, then argued that she did not cause all the damage to the truck. *There was an assault in the 100 block of Elwood Lane at 3:25 p.m., stemming from a disagreement over cleaning the house. Both scrappers had minor injuries, but declined medical help. One gal could not produce any knocked-out teeth and did admit that she was already missing some of her teeth prior to the event. woman in her late 40s was said to be fine one moment, then she was flying into a rage, breaking items and throwing things. She had been exhibiting this behavior for a week, and blamed her husband. *A woman in the 7200 block of Rockydale Road was screaming when she phoned 911 for the second time at 2:05 p.m. She was yelling because some guy came into her residence and took something, but she would not provide her name, or that of the guy either. *At 2:32 p.m. a man in the 7200 block of Rockydale Road reported that his son had been stabbed in the arm by a female, who was laying in the gravel in front of his house. The father did not want law enforcement assistance, and said that his son did not require medical treatment. He volunteered to get the wacky woman’s car started so she could leave. *A red-haired guy in his 30s was trespassing in the 100 block of Elwood Lane at 2:44 p.m. He was not supposed to be on the property, but since he was the boyfriend of a resident of a trailer on the property, it was deemed a civil matter. *At 3:11 p.m. the hot- headed gal from the 7200 block of Rockydale Road crashed into a tree in her primer-red Pontiac Firebird. She flew the coop by the time law enforcement arrived. A restraining order will be filed to prevent her return. Kerby Avenue at 11:23 a.m. because she was unable to retrieve her belongings from a fellow. She decided not to pursue charges because she found her items inside a cupboard. *The disorderly damsel with a red Firebird was laying in the roadway in the 7200 block of Rockydale Road at 1:13 p.m. She then went to her relative’s house in the 100 block of S. Junction Avenue to pick up her Christmas present. (A lump of coal, perhaps?) *A 65-year-old man was found deceased in the 300 block of Burch Drive at 1:33 p.m. *An employee at a store in the 25600 block of Redwood Hwy. reported a disturbance at 1:57 p.m. A gray-haired man wearing a green hat and gray hoody sweatshirt was yelling because the clerk would not sell beer at the price that he wanted to pay. *A fellow was looking for two trespassers who cut his fence to go fishing on his property in the 32500 block of Redwood Hwy. He had a pistol, and they were armed with a sling shot and a cross bow. When advised to obtain a restraining order, he stated that he would just shoot them after dark instead. *Karaoke music, laughing, talking and an argument over dinner could be heard during a 911-call at 5:43 p.m. from the 17000 block of Redwood Hwy.
