Redwood Hwy. at 9:18 a.m. It was A-OK, just employees servicing the automatic teller machine. *Brian Maxwell, 32, was arrested in the 200 block of Schumacher Street for possession of meth and parole violation at 1:19 p.m. He was detained at Josephine County Jail. *A woman in the 300 block of Clear Creek Road claimed that her neighbor called her dog outside of the gate, then he shot her pet at 12:34 p.m. Her neighbor in the 200 block of Pine Tree Way had a different version. He stated that her dog killed his pooch previously. A Josephine County Animal Control officer told him he could shoot her dog if he saw it running around outside her fence. He saw the canine out of its yard, so he shot it. The woman then alleged that the neighbor came onto her property to shoot her dog, so he was trespassing. A report was filed regarding the animal problem. *A motorist requested a tow truck at 305 S. Redwood Hwy. at 12:35 p.m., but he started the car once he figured out the ignition problem. Outside the Valley *Twenty-five incidents. Tuesday, Dec. 13 *A 2001 VW Golf was reportedly stolen from Cascade Auto after Dec. 7. A gal found out from Facebook that her vehicle had been spotted behind the prior “Going Deep” restaurant in the 200 block of Redwood Hwy. at 10:53 a.m. The VW had to be towed because the engine was blown up. She found a coat, knife, battery and other items that did not belong to her inside her car. *When tenants moved away from the 1900 block of Lone Mountain Road, they left behind storage containers belonging to Medford Storage. The land owner does not want to return the pods to Medford Storage until they pay him for damages that his former tenants did to his property. He was advised that his issue is with his tenants, not the storage company, which would be justified in reporting their containers as stolen if he refuses to allow them access to retrieve them. The property owner will be home from California on Dec. 28, and he will consider whether he will be cooperative or not. *A gal who lives in the 100 block of Ollis Road believes that the property manager dislikes her, and that he harassed her at 11:48 a.m. He was screaming and upset because she told his wife that he was peeping through her window. There was no crime, but a deputy instructed the unprofessional manager on the proper way to conduct an eviction. *A caretaker was having issues at 1:59 p.m. with a trespasser who keeps returning to the 300 block of S. He opened her mail and sent money to the USDA Rural Development Office to protect the home from foreclosure, and he was trying to transfer the house into his name. It was not deemed an Adult Protective Services issue, but it seemed suspicious. At 4:35 p.m., USDA correspondence indicated that the guy complied with their expectations, and that there was nothing shady going on. *Medical marijuana growers in the 1300 block of Prottsman Way were not dispensing medicine as required by their 78-year-old patient. The grower from Cave Junction claimed that his ex-girlfriend took his belongings and the crop, but the greedy gal was not responding to phone calls from the elderly gent. The misguided lass with a pink purse was chasing him towards Redwood Hwy. She told a deputy that it was verbal only, she had no injuries, and she was going home. *Both vehicles were towed after a black 2016 Ford flatbed truck and a white Ford Ranger collided at Takilma Road and Waldo Road at 10:08 a.m. *On Dec. 4 at 10 p.m., a man was asleep in the 25000 block of Caves Hwy. when he heard a crash. They grabbed a few items off his desk, then threw them on his lawn. *A dog-walker encountered a thin fellow with a buzz cut in a green Dodge pickup truck at the end of S. Old Stage Road Dec. 11 at 5 p.m. Soon afterwards the dog owner heard glass breaking and a car alarm. The Isuzu Rodeo front window was smashed, and a rock was in a pile of glass in the passenger seat. Sunglasses and a black leather CD case and 30 CDs valued at $300 were stolen, along with brand new Pioneer oval speakers worth $140.
