All persons listed are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Sunday, Nov. 27 *Everything was fine on Eight Dollar Road at 10:02 a.m. *There was an unoccupied vehicle in a ditch near Waldo Road and Rockydale Road at 10:13 a.m. *Another call came in regarding the vehicle in the ditch on Waldo Road at 10:35 a.m., but it was already deemed beyond available resources (BAR) by Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO). *Multiple citations for sanitation issues and residing on public lands were issued to a group of campers at Hogue Meadow, a couple of miles up Page Creek at 10:40 a.m. A vehicle was found, and the vehicle identification number (VIN) and license plates had been removed. Paperwork came back referencing a utility vehicle, not a match for the buggy in the trees. One guy was given until Thursday, Dec. 1 to remove all of his property from the site. *A deputy checked on a bus at Hogue Meadow at 11:50 a.m. *At 11:55 a.m. there was an unoccupied vehicle at the rock quarry near Waldo Road and Rockydale Road, the VIN matched the license plates in this case. *A report was filed for recovered stolen vehicle after a silver-colored sedan was towed out of mud in the 300 block of Lurline Lane at 3 p.m. *A man in the 400 block of Beebe Drive claimed that his ex-friend shot his dog before he returned home at 2:24 p.m. The canine was bleeding and injured, but there was no direct evidence that the dog had been shot, let alone who did it. *At 4:31 p.m. a traveler on Redwood Hwy. at Westside Road felt ill, but told a deputy that if he started feeling worse, he would pull over and phone 911. *A motorist in the 500 block of Caves Hwy. was warned for driving 60 in a 45 MPH zone at 5:45 p.m. He was cited for illegal display of plates because he had 2016 stickers on a 2015 plate. He was also given a citation for failure to carry proof of insurance. Outside the Valley *Thirteen situations. Monday, Nov. 28 *Forks State Park was fine at 11:04 a.m. *Investigation continued at 222 W. Lister Street at 12:03 p.m. *JCSO assisted with a restraining order and move-out in the 37600 block of Redwood Hwy. at 1:33 p.m. *The driver of a white Ford Mustang with Washington license plates was cited for speeding 50 in a 20 MPH school zone at 2:47 p.m. Citations were also written for improper display of plates and driving while uninsured during this traffic stop at E. River Street and Lewis Court. *A lass stated that she needed law enforcement to come to her residence in the 100 block of Shadywood Drive before her mother and grandmother left, but she would not give further information at 4:59 p.m. * Oregon State Police (OSP) and JCSO responded to a traffic accident at 23500 Redwood Hwy. at 6:28 p.m. Outside the Valley *Twenty-nine incidents. Tuesday, Nov. 29 *A white Buick was partially in the roadway in the 700 block of Lakeshore Drive at 7:52 a.m. It was gone when a deputy arrived at 9:34 p.m. *Someone received a citation for illegally dumping a vehicle on public lands at Page Creek at 9:59 a.m. *At 12:24 p.m. there was an unoccupied vehicle at 25658 Redwood Hwy. *A motorist in the 200 block of Retirement Lane was cleared at 12:35 p.m. *Shandy Powell, 27, was arrested and detained at Josephine County Jail for warrants after JCSO located her in the 200 block of Merlot Drive at 1:18 p.m. *At 2:36 p.m. a guy was chasing a gal with a torn shirt near Jubilee Park, heading towards Forks State Park. *The registered owner of a stolen vehicle was notified that it was recovered in the 2000 block of Lakeshore Drive at 3:29 p.m. *No money exchanged hands, but several patients paid for two pot growers to get their medical marijuana caretaker cards. At the end of the season, the growers refused to provide the medicine to the needy folks. This was deemed to be a civil issue, and the couple who got the short end of the joint were cautioned regarding demanding their marijuana from the farmers in the 1000 block of Lakeshore Drive. *A deputy was unable to locate an individual at 249 N. Redwood Hwy. at 4:33 p.m. Outside the Valley *Twenty-eight situations. Wednesday, Nov. 30 *OSP faxed a report at 2 a.m. advising that mushroom hunters became separated near MP 38 on Hwy. 199., and one fungus finder was still missing. Search and rescue personnel were not called out at that time due to safety concerns with darkness, steep terrain, and gunshots in the area. A deputy located the stray harvester at a residence on Caves Hwy. *There was a verbal argument, but no evidence of a crime in the 700 block of Althouse Creek Road at 12:31 p.m. A mother and her son were looking for another place to live, and left temporarily until the situation cooled down. *The landlord’s daughter was causing problems for their tenant in the 5100 block of Caves Hwy by complaining to his boss. She even asked for advice on the eviction process. The renter was not contesting the eviction; he only wanted to be left alone while he was moving. *Neighbors in the 200 block of Hussey Lane found a woman who was not breathing at 4:16 p.m. Her attorney was contacted to notify her relatives in Germany. *A deputy conducted an investigation at 205 W. Watkins Street at 4:58 p.m. *Katrina Villanueva, 30, was cited to appear in lieu of arrest, charged with third- degree theft. Her children were with her when the crime occurred, so Department of Human Services (DHS) was notified of the arrest in the 300 block of W. O’Brien Street at 5:42 p.m. *A mother claimed that her 50-year-old son was going wild because he assaulted his brother and threw him to the ground in the 900 block of Indian Creek Road at 6:06 p.m. She was advised of her options. Outside the Valley *Twenty-five entries. Thursday, Dec. 1 *Jokers thought it would be a gas to steal the Blue Star propane tank from the Illinois Valley Grange in the 3700 block of Holland Loop. The thieves cut copper tubing to access the tank, which was on a concrete foundation with bolt- downs. This occurred between 10 p.m. on Nov. 26 and 8 a.m. on Nov. 28. The tank was valued at $300, and a report was filed for second-degree theft. *An elderly woman with a cane was hitchhiking in the 200 block of W. Watkins Street at 2:26 p.m. She stated that she was running away from her doctor and daughter, and she was headed to California to live with her granddaughter. The escaping granny was last seen wearing a red puffy hooded jacket as she caught a ride with an older man in a gray four- door pickup truck. DHS has an open case for this incident. *Information was provided to OSP regarding an abandoned vehicle in the 5100 block of Caves Hwy. at 2:52 p.m. *At 3:11 p.m. there was a verbal disturbance in the 24500 block of Redwood Hwy. between three guys armed with a gun, a baton, and a hammer. No assault occurred, and one of the three was trespassed from the property by the manager and the owner. Advice was given regarding the process for a stalking order. *A motorist in a maroon van was driving all over the roadway, heading southbound at MP 27 on Hwy. 199 at 3:16 p.m. Outside the Valley *Seventeen incidents.
