Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Sunday, Oct. 16 *A white 2013 Volkswagen Passat with black pin stripes was reported as stolen from the 400 block of S. Junction Avenue between 7 p.m., Oct. 15 and 8:30 a.m., Oct. 16. A resident heard the revving engine of a vehicle burning out early in the morning. A second set of keys may have been inside the center console of the vehicle. (Good place for them.) *Josephine County Sheriff’s Of- fice (JCSO) checked the Lake Selmac area at 10:53 a.m. *Everything was fine at Forks State Park at 11:28 a.m. *An unoccupied vehicle in a ditch alongside Kendall Road and Holland Loop was tagged to be towed at 12:04 p.m. *There was high water standing in the road from the 5300 to 5600 block of Lakeshore Drive at 3:28 p.m., per Illinois Valley Fire District. Outside the Valley *Fifteen situations. Monday, Oct. 17 *An alert citizen spotted a stolen red 2002 Nissan Frontier pickup truck that was being driven in and out of ditches on Rockydale Road Oct. 16 at 9:30 p.m. Law enforcement was unable to locate the truck with a rear sliding window made of plywood instead of glass. *Both vehicles were at a residence in the 100 block of Shadywood Drive, but for some reason the guy inside re- fused to answer the door for the deputy, who had stopped by for an investigation at 10:39 a.m. *Law enforcement gathered in- formation in the 100 block of S. Kerby Avenue at 11:33 a.m. *There was an unoccupied white Isuzu pickup truck parked in the 300 block of Lurline Lane at 11:34 a.m. *Extra patrol was requested at 11:57 a.m. in the 200 block of Ollis Road. *A driver had bad timing when he pulled into a parking lot at 120 N. Redwood Hwy. at 12:04 p.m. He was cited to CJ Municipal Court on charges of improper display, as well as driving while suspended and uninsured. *JCSO responded to a group of people at the Pregnancy Care Center in Cave Junction at 1:10 p.m. Nathan Dan- iel Boes, 39, was delivered to Josephine County Jail on an out-of-county fugitive warrant. *There were no sounds of distur- bance during the 911 call from the 600 block of E. River Street at 1:20 p.m. *Forks State Park was fine at 2:39 p.m. *A gal was upset at her verbally abusive boyfriend who blocked her in her driveway in the 200 block of W. O’Brien Street at 3:19 p.m. Her destruc- tive beau stabbed himself in the face with her keys, then tried to puncture her tires and break her windshield. She left to obtain a restraining order and find somewhere else to stay. (Ain’t nobody got time for that.) *JCSO checked some details at 3:49 p.m. at 409 S. Redwood Hwy a 911-only phone in the 4300 block of Holland Loop Road, but nothing could be heard at 9:36 a.m. *A skinny brown mule and a tan horse with a broken halter were hanging out at the intersection of Waldo Road and Takilma Road at 12:56 p.m. A good Samaritan was trying to keep them from getting hurt until Animal Control of- ficers could respond. *Three strong people were push- ing a beat-up pickup truck into the bushes behind the gazebo at Jubilee Park at 1:02 p.m. Law enforcement could not locate the burnt or light gray truck that had no bed. *Dispatchers received a couple of 911 calls from the 20300 block of Redwood Hwy. at 1:40 p.m. There were no signs of a disturbance, just someone yelling profanities. (That’s not disturb- ing?) *Four rowdies at the gazebo in Ju- bilee Park were advised to move along by 4 p.m. or they would be charged with trespassing. (Maybe they can find the pick-up truck in the bushes.) *The pickup truck with no bed, no plates and no vin was found on Sawyer Avenue and Stevenson Street at 3:42 p.m. This time it was towed away instead of pushed into the bushes. *A stolen vehicle was recovered in an alley in the 200 block of S. Red- wood Hwy. at 4:15 p.m. *Protect America reported a silent panic alarm from the 400 block of S. Junction Avenue at 4:46 p.m. The back door was not secure. *A woman reported a vehicle with the keys inside was parked in her driveway in the 100 block of Deer Creek Road at 10:48 a.m. When the bozo returned to his vehicle, she yelled at him, so he left. *JCSO did some research at Ever- green Elementary School at 12:29 p.m. *A deputy cruised through Palm- eroy Estates at 1:04 p.m. *Guess who was in trouble in the 4700 block of Waldo Road at 2:35 p.m.? Virgil Daniel Guess, 37, was detained at Josephine County Jail for unauthor- ized use of a vehicle, and possession of meth. He also had a U.S. Marshall’s service warrant for probation violation. His sidekick Joseph Martin Jones, 29, was detained due to a warrant for failure to appear for possession of meth. He was wanted by Grants Pass Department of Public Safety. (Glad somebody wants them.) *A resident in the 24500 block of Redwood Highway said he used his card the last week of September. When he looked in his junk drawer for it Oct. 1, it was missing. During that time friends of friends were at his house, but he does not know which “friend” actu- ally took his card. *A restraining order was served on a deserving party in the 37400 block of Redwood Hwy. at 3:16 p.m. *Two pocket-dialed 911 calls were received at 4:48 p.m. from near Speedy Mart. Nothing unusual was heard, but lots of prior calls have come in from this phone. Outside the Valley Outside the Valley *Thirteen situations. *Nineteen entries. Outside the Valley *Fifteen incidents. Tuesday, Oct. 18 *A 911-call was received from Wednesday, Oct. 19 Thursday, Oct. 20 *Law enforcement checked the 100 block of N. Redwood Hwy. at 10:24 a.m. *Security at the Junction Inn reported several trespassers who would not leave 406 S. Redwood Hwy. at 11:36 a.m. One guy in a turquoise jacket and a red Nike hat was so inebriated he couldn’t even stand up. He and a heavy-set woman had been seen buying alcohol at Shop Smart and Speedy Mart. The Junction Inn rented the lot where Perfect Pizza used to be so they could trespass the transients, but they needed assistance from law enforcement to do so. *Folks in the 400 block of Queen of Bronze Road were at it again at 11:41 a.m. A man was building a fence on another guy’s easement, and he was concerned that emergency vehicles would not be able to access his prop- erty. This was deemed a civil matter, and the fire department would come out and determine if there was enough room for their fire truck. *A tenant moved into the 100 block of S. Sawyer Avenue in Decem- ber, 2015, but stopped paying rent in June, 2016. In the meantime, the hoard- er collected various vehicles, golf carts, clothes, trash, bike parts and assorted junk. He also moved his daughter and her boyfriend onto the property, against the rental agreement. They moved to the 100 block of Dogwood Lane, but left their treasured belongings behind. The landlady will need to pay at least $5,000 to replace broken windows and a damaged well electrical connection. Notes were provided to the ex-tenants’ probation officers. *A gal in the 37400 block of Red- wood Hwy. reportedly hit someone with a baton at 12:37 p.m. She was served with restraining orders and given 20 minutes to march on. *A restraining order was served in the 200 block of S.
