Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Monday, Sept. 26 *At 11:49 a.m. a frustrated father was trying to pick up his children in the 500 block of Lister Way. There was a restraining order on file, and the children’s mother was not turning the kids over to him for his visitation time. The deputy explained the difference between a custody order and a writ for removal, so the dad will follow up with the custody courts. *Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) checked with Oregon State Police (OSP) to see if they needed assistance for an incident at Schumacher Street and S. Hussey Avenue at 12:24 p.m. Everything was under control. *For some reason a guy in a black Honda needed a licensed driver to take him from St. Patrick of the Forest Catholic Church on River Street to a residence on Old Stage Road at 1:56 p.m. JCSO followed them there. *At 2:31 p.m. a belligerent broad stole something from Selma Ray’s Food Place in the 1000 block of Deer Creek Road, then came back threatening and pushing employees and harassing customers. She was described as wearing black shorts, a red shirt, riding a bike and carrying a 3” metal rod. *At 3:34 p.m., the she-monster pedaled her bike down the road and was causing a disturbance at the Selma Community and Education Center (SCEC). She was throwing trash around the property and stealing groceries from clients. The 5-foot-9, 105 pound female with short, dark brown hair was warned for trespassing at Selma Ray’s Food Place and the SCEC. *Two women were heard screaming and cussing at 4:48 p.m. from the 300 block of June Drive. It was just a gal arguing with her *Matthew Peter Sawyer, 43, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm at Speedy Mart at 305 S. Redwood Hwy. at 12:52 p.m. He was cited to appear in lieu of arrest. *JCSO provided assistance at Prottsman Way at 2:08 p.m. *Jubilee Park passed inspection at 5:08 p.m. boyfriend, and they were gone when law enforcement arrived. *The driver of a maroon Saturn was pulled over by JCSO at 5:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of Rockydale Road. He was cited through CJ Municipal Courts for driving with a suspended license, uninsured driving, visible emissions, and illegal display of 2017 tag on a vehicle registered in 2015. The negligent motorist was warned of the tow ordinance. Outside the Valley *A dozen situations. Wednesday, Sept. 28 Outside the Valley *Eighteen calls. Tuesday, Sept. 27 *All was fine at Jubilee Park at 11:39 a.m. *JCSO conducted a patrol of the south side of the creek at MP 34 on Hwy. 199 at 11:39 a.m. *A white Aluma Free Spirit 28-foot travel camper was reportedly stolen from FS Road 4611 between 6 p.m. Sept. 18 and 11 a.m. Sept. 20. Personal belongings, food and other supplies were also missing. On Sept. 20, a couple in a silver-colored Ford F250 were seen at that location, and they appeared to be smoking out of a water pipe similar to one that was missing. An office chair in the back of their truck resembled one of the stolen items. When the driver of the Ford was confronted in CJ, he seemed very on edge but denied any knowledge of the theft. The incident was referred to the U.S. Forest Service for further investigation. *There were no problems when JCSO patrolled the area across from Forks State Park at 12:17 p.m. *At 12:43 p.m. a landlady in the 200 block of McMullen Creek Road requested deputy contact to evict a mentally disabled guy, his mother, and their two Pomeranian dogs from a trailer on her property. The landlady believes that they have been doing weird stuff like emptying sewage on the ground and poisoning her dog. *Law enforcement contacted an individual who was possibly from Los Angeles at 305 S. Redwood Hwy. at 12:48 p.m. WHERE’S THE ALARM? The volunteers and staff of the Illinois Valley Fire District Responded to these recent Emergency calls Monday 9/26/2016 4700 blk HOLLAND LOOP RD, Medical Emergency *JCSO made the rounds of Redwood Hwy. and Kerby Mainline Road at 10:17 a.m. *A deputy was flagged down by a citizen at the CJ Substation at 10:36 a.m. *A landlady in the 200 block of McMullen Creek Road rented trailer space for $600, or $400 according to her tenants. The arrangement wasn’t working out well, with one tenant screaming for hours, and the other had a warrant pending for abscond. All parties were advised of options at 1:24 p.m. *Folks were warned for using their generator on the parking lot of Jubilee Park at 11:31 a.m. *Stephen Edwin Evans, 54, was detained at Josephine County Jail following his arrest at Jubilee Park at 12:18 p.m. Evans had two OSP misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear and failure to perform duties of a driver. *A motorhome was being towed by a U-Haul, and the debris was blocking most of Thompson Creek Road in the 700 block at 12:26 p.m. *An alert citizen spotted a green quad hidden under bushes in the 300 block of Wells Drive at 1:19 p.m., found it highly suspicious and alerted law enforcement. Two quads had been stolen during the early morning hours from Dave’s Power Equipment, and they were recovered due to that tip. A report was filed for first-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief. *A security guard at the Junction Inn suffered a broken knee cap during an altercation with a trespasser with a gun at 9 p.m. Sept. 27. At 7:30 a.m. the stocky unwanted visitor with a full reddish-brown beard returned with his bald side-kick. He told employees that if the security guard was not fired, he would return and do damage to the Junction Inn. He even brought his own handcuffs and was trying to place the guard under arrest. Law enforcement logged the information as unfounded as an assault. *Frantic folks thought someone was shooting at them from trees near the Tiger Preservation Center in the 28000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 4:53 p.m. They could see the dust where the bullet hit near the front of their motorhome. A neighbor also heard the gunshot, but law enforcement could not find the shooter. *A frequently intoxicated, 50- something female was trespassing in the 1400 block of Rockydale Road at 5:09 p.m. She reportedly has a pattern of berating the resident there due to his involvement with a lawsuit. Outside the Valley *Nine entries. Thursday, Sept. 29 *Two hot-heads on McMullen Creek Road were causing a disturbance at 10:46 a.m. A frantic woman claimed a guy had a gas can and a hose and that he was going to burn her house down. He told his mother he didn’t want arson on his record; he was just trying to get some gas out of a car that was broken down in the driveway. *A deputy contacted two people who claimed ownership of a vehicle east of the Eight Dollar Bridge at 12:54 p.m. *The driver of a Nissan Rogue was stopped by JCSO at 2:48 p.m. in the 1200 block of Laurel Road. *JCSO checked the area east of Little Falls Campground on Eight Dollar Road at 2:58 p.m. *At 4:56 p.m. a deputy seized the license plates from a Toyota because they had been switched from another vehicle. The car was towed from MP 1 on Eight Dollar Road. Outside the Valley *Seventeen incidents. Friday, Sept. 30 * Illinois Valley Fire District requested assistance from JCSO when an illegal open burn was reported in the 4100 block of Holland Loop at 9:19 a.m. *An environmentally-conscious woman was cleaning litter from Eight Dollar Road near FS Road 023. She found receipts and empty marijuana containers, so she phoned 911 at 11:11 a.m. A report was filed for offensive littering and littering in/near waterways. *The security guard at the Junction Inn has been dealing with trespassers recently. The guard injured his knee during the initial episode. The latest incident occurred at 12:01 p.m., when one rabble-rouser returned wearing a firearm on his hip, but he did not make contact with the guard. He drove off in a white Lincoln Town car with a blue top. The assault allegation was still deemed unfounded, and the guard was advised of his options. *A deputy made the rounds of Seats Dam at 800 Airport Drive at 2:09 p.m. *JCSO assisted OSP with the incident in the 100 block of Arrowhead Drive at 2:26 p.m. *At 3:46 p.m. OSP reported that an entire tire was laying in the road past the fog line on Redwood Hwy. at Reeves Creek Road. The tire was removed from the roadway and placed against the guardrail. *Two people were in a vehicle west of Little Falls Campground on Eight Dollar Road at 4:11 p.m. *A deputy walked the Interpretative Trail just before the bridge on Eight Dollar Road at 4:28 p.m. Outside the Valley *Seventeen listings.
