Wednesday, August 17, 2016 Page A-7 Tales from the Rural Patrol Monday, Aug. 8 camo pants with a camo shirt around his waist was pointing his knife near Hwy. 199 and Deer Creek Road at 1 p.m. He was then spotted at the picnic tables under an oak tree nearby. *At 1:18 p.m. an alarm was triggered on Warren Road. *A rusty tan-colored mid-90s sedan with a broken windshield was abandoned and partially blocking Waldo Road near Hwy. 199 at 2:09 p.m. *There was a disturbance in the 900 block of Naue Way at 2:38 p.m. A brute with mental problems was not properly medicated when he shoved his way through a barricaded door and assaulted someone. The bully drove off in his large orange-colored Ford pickup truck with a round reflective sticker on the side. A report was filed for strangulation, harassment and first-degree burglary. *JCSO stood by for a move-out in the 3400 block of Crooks Creek Road at 3:24 p.m. *Between Aug. 3 and Aug. 8, a 19-foot tilt-bed Great Northern trailer was stolen from a barn in the 3200 block of Deer Creek Road. *An employee locking up shop at 201 Caves Hwy. probably set off the alarm at 5:40 p.m. *A Rambo wearing Outside the Valley (Editor’s note: Factual informa- tion for ‘Tales’ is provided by of- ficial law enforcement agencies. Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Sunday, Aug. 7 * A Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputy was flagged down at Shop Smart at 10:59 a.m., but no details were given. *At 1:07 p.m. a motorist was warned for failure to come to a complete stop on Redwood Hwy. at Draper Valley Road. *A traffic stop on Caves Hwy. at S. Junction Avenue at 2:16 p.m. ended with a citation for driving while suspended violation (DWSV) and uninsured driving. A warning was given for no seatbelt, failure to carry proof of registration, improper display and no front license plate. *A blonde in her late 20s was conducting herself in a disorderly manner in the 400 block of Addison Lane at 4:22 p.m. Martha Christine Wade, 32, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. and detained at Josephine County Jail for failure to appear (FTA) and assault on a peace officer. Outside the Valley *Seven calls. *Twenty-two incidents. Tuesday, Aug. 9 *Four squatters were setting up residence on vacant land in the 8500 block of Deer Creek Road. The only problem is that property is for sale by Junction Realty Real Estate. An eviction notice will be filed. *Officer safety information came in from California Highway Patrol (CHP) in Eureka regarding a blue Chevy pickup truck with a camper shell that was heading northbound on Hwy. 199 at 9:25 a.m. The driver brandished a firearm at a Caltrans worker five miles from the Oregon border. *The brute in the 900 block of Naue Way returned and was arrested at 12:02 p.m. Todd Clark Renecker, 47, was charged with first- degree burglary, strangulation and harassment. He was detained at Josephine County Jail on a warrant arrest for probation violation and dangerous drugs. *Another menace to society was hitting a woman in the head and punching her in the face as she tried to walk away in the 300 block of W. Kerby Street at 11:05 a.m. The jerk drove off in a white-colored Ford with a black rack in the back. *JCSO served a restraining order at 140 Old Stage Road at 11:11 a.m. *There was a medical issue, not an assault, at 5:09 p.m. on S. Redwood Hwy. at W. Watkins Street. Outside the Valley *A dozen situations. Wednesday, Aug. 10 *Things were getting rowdy at 10 a.m. on Rough and Ready Creek during a landlord-tenant issue between family members. A step- father was trying to kick his step-son off the property, and he was reportedly driving a backhoe and plowing things down. There was no evidence of a crime, and all parties were advised of their options. *Jerks in a tan-colored Chevy with California plates were threatening to beat up an older man outside the Sportsman Tavern at 3:50 p.m. They didn’t, he wasn’t assaulted, and they all left. *JCSO delivered a restraining order on Happy Camp Road at 4:38 p.m. *There was a 911 hang- up call at 4:49 p.m. from the 23600 block of Redwood Hwy., but there were no sounds of a disturbance. *SOS reported multiple hits registered on an alarm system in the 8300 block of Deer Creek Road at 5:20 p.m. Outside the Valley * Fourteen entries. Thursday, Aug. 11 *The youngster on Laurel Road was deemed beyond parental control at 10:19 a.m. (Parents - Hang in there, school starts soon.) *At 1:59 p.m. a guy was detained in the 2100 block of White School Road until the registered owner of the vehicle was contacted. *A deceased man was found by his friend in the 100 block of Lone Mountain Road at 2:41 p.m. *SOS reported an alarm at 4:33 p.m. on the door to the Special Education room at Evergreen Elementary School in the 500 block of W. River Street. Outside the Valley *Ten incidents. Friday, Aug. 12 *JCSO delivered a restraining order in the 100 block of Old Stage Road at 10:05 a.m. *Rustling and a faint cough were the only sounds heard from a 911 phone call at 10:09 a.m. from the 22000 block of Redwood Hwy. *Everything was fine at the Seats Dam area near 800 Airport Drive at 11:53 a.m. *Law enforcement scrutinized the 100 block of S. Junction Avenue at 12:23 p.m. *The 200 block of June Drive was examined at 12:34 p.m. *Information was obtained in the 400 block of Pine Cone Drive at 12:56 p.m. *A restraining order was served at 2:24 p.m. in the 200 block of W. River Street. *At 3:05 p.m., a deputy searched for data at the G Spot, a Fine Bar and Grill in Kerby. Outside the Valley *Twenty log listings. Saturday, Aug. 13 *A step-dad reported a confrontation with the mother of his three step-children on Aug. 12 at 6:20 a.m. in the 100 block of Caves Hwy. He stated that the angry mother pushed through a locked gate and kicked down the door. She then grabbed the step-dad by his hair until her children were in her car, then punched him in the back of the head. A report was filed for fourth-degree assault. *SOS Alarm Company will contact their client re- garding a hit to a side door in the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 12:55 p.m. *At 1:54 p.m. a woman was inside an RV hiding from her husband on Lakeshore Drive. Law enforcement could not locate the man, and the lady’s statements were inconsistent with evidence. There was no sign of a crime, so she was advised of her op- tions and encouraged to find a safe place to stay. Outside the Valley * Eighteen log items.
