Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Monday, May 16 *An instigator threw a rock, damaging the hood of a car in the 100 block of Tracy Ln. at 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 15. The rock- flinger has a tattoo of the word Crystal across the top of his back. (Girlfriend or drug of choice?) A report will be filed for third-degree mischief. *When a curly-haired ruffian was asked to leave the 400 block of S. Redwood Hwy. at 1:12 p.m., he threatened to throw someone off a balcony. He and his three big dogs left in a brown Chevy pickup truck. *A mother in the 100 block of Ollis Rd. was informed by the IRS that someone in Washington state had filed using her social security number. She suspects that her child’s father is committing identity theft. *At 3:06 p.m. a Toyota pickup truck was parked with the side door open at milepost 25 on Hwy. 199, which created a traffic hazard. A woman arrived, said her name was Yost, and that her truck had run out of gas. Jerry’s Tow removed the truck, and Yost left before law enforcement arrived, no doubt due to a warrant. *Investigation in the 200 block of E. Watkins St.at 4:09 p.m. * Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) provided assistance to Illinois Valley Fire District (IVFD) during an incident in the 100 block of S. Boundary Ave. at 4:59 p.m. Outside the Valley *Twenty-three situations. Outside the Valley Wednesday, May 18 *Twenty-five incidents. Tuesday, May 17 *There has been an ongoing problem with squatters in the 3400 block of Deer Creek Rd. When the home owner attempted to remove the trespassers, they threatened him with firearms. JCSO removed the unwanted guests in the past, but after they arrested the caretaker on a warrant, the illegal tenants returned. *Gun shots and an explosion were heard in the 1800 block of Reeves Creek Rd. at 1:58 p.m. This site is allegedly a large marijuana grow that is worked by many questionable-looking people and self-claimed felons. *At 2:44 p.m. there was a non- injury motor vehicle accident in the 8900 block of Holland Loop Rd. *The woman driving the red Subaru on Lurline Ln. at 2:52 p.m. denied any knowledge of trash- dumping on Laurel Rd. and Walters Dr. two days prior. She was warned for offensive littering. *Tanja Nicolas returned to the 3400 block of Deer Creek Rd. at 3:28 p.m., even though she has been arrested previously for trespassing at the same location. When law enforcement arrived, she told JCSO that she understands that she is not allowed to move back to the property under any circumstances. (Hmmm, did she pinky swear?) *A motor vehicle with a broken window was parked with the left front tire just off the shoulder of the road in the 6000 block of Deer Creek Rd. at 5:04 p.m. *At 11:01 a.m. a guy in the 17400 block of Redwood Hwy. was trying to mow his yard but a neighbor was shooting a firearm nearby. Lawnmower man stated that if that neighbor shot in his direction, he would drive his Ford pickup truck over there and take care of the situation himself. *Two members of the Illinois Valley Senior Center (IVSC) received threatening letters, presumably regarding June elections at the center. One letter stated “If you do anything to screw up this election, you will get the **** kicked out of you.” Suspicions point towards someone who previously had a cease and desist order due to slander that was being committed. Outside the Valley * Nineteen logged entries. Thursday, May 19 *There were no calls logged from the Illinois Valley! Outside the Valley *Thirteen incidents. Friday, May 20 *Lifeline reported a domestic violence situation, with people swearing and arguing in the 1400 block of Rockydale Rd. at 10:07 a.m., but the antagonists claimed they did not need law enforcement. *By 11:57 a.m., a patron had already been at a local saloon in the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. for an hour. A citizen was concerned that the drinker would be operating his gray Ford F15 pickup truck while intoxicated. *Screaming could be heard in the 100 block of S. Sawyer Ave. at 12:49 p.m. The vocal yokel turned out to be a past renter who was intoxicated. *There was a father/son disturbance in the 8500 block of Deer Creek Rd. at 1:46 p.m. One guy was head-butted, but no weapons were observed and medical assistance was not required. A restraining order will be sought. *A vehicle that had been parked in the 200 block of S. Redwood Hwy. for three days was stolen from Redding, CA. in the 28800 block of Redwood Hwy. between 1:06 a.m. and 11:24 a.m. A poor excuse for a man was punching and kicking a woman, trapping her in her house. When she escaped to a friend’s house, he fled in a black Dodge pickup truck. The victim does not want to pursue charges, and she believes that the bully has fled for Idaho or California. A woman at that location was hesitant to let deputies check the property for the weasel. She stated that he left on foot, even though his truck was still parked right there. *Then there’s the squabblers in the 1400 block of Rockydale Road. Lifeline reported a disturbance at 1:59 p.m., with people yelling and arguing in the background, and a 58-year-old woman requesting police assistance. *At 3:34 p.m. an estranged husband was trying to break windows and denting the side of a maroon-colored Jeep Grand Cherokee in the 24500 block of Redwood Hwy. Neighbors in the park witnessed him threatening people. A report will be filed for second-degree criminal mischief, and advice was given regarding restraining orders. *Whoever was driving a red- colored MR-2 in the 500 block of Caves Hwy. at 3:36 p.m. was cited into C.J. Municipal Court for failure to renew their registration. *Someone needed to move their vehicle from N. Sawyer Avenue and Stevenson Street at 4:26 p.m., but no reason was given. Outside the Valley *Seventeen listings. Saturday, May 21 *SOS reported an alarm that was activated in the 100 block of N. Junction Ave. at 9:17 a.m. *Gun shots from several different kinds of guns were heard in the 100 block of Elwood Ln. at 11 a.m. *Folks at Josephine Camp on Eight Dollar Mountain Rd. were warned to clean up their trash at 11:07 a.m. *A 38-year-old woman who drives a white Ford Taurus continues to violate a no-contact order in the 900 block of Caves Hwy. Outside the Valley * Eight logged incidents. Sunday, May 22 Outside the Valley *Domestic violence and restraining order violations occurred * Ten calls logged.
