Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Monday, May 2 * Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) provided Community Oriented Policing (COP) at Illinois Valley High School (IVHS) at 11:42 a.m. *A house in the 400 block of Schumacher Street is not for rent; it is for sale on auction.com by Wells Fargo Mortgage Co. People suspected of burglarizing this home have extension cords hanging from trees in the backyard to their California trailers. (California licence plates?) *Scott Cook (age not reported) was very intoxicated and trespassing in the 600 block of Sherwood Avenue at 1:43 p.m. Cook was said to be in pain, but it was unclear if he had fallen or been assaulted. A concerned neighbor was advised of options relating to alcohol abuse. * JCSO could not locate the source of a mental health issue at Forks State Park at 2:45 p.m. Medical information regarding this incident was deleted. *Forks State Park was patrolled again at 3:37 p.m. *The driver of a Toyota pickup was warned for a rear white light during a traffic stop at the power station on Old Stage Road at 4:24 p.m. *All officers were busy when a Toyota pickup was being driven erratically, headed southbound on Hwy. 199 from Cave Junction at 4:31 p.m. *A vehicle stolen on May 1 was recovered the next day at 340 N. Sawyer Avenue at 4:38 p.m. The woman at that location was likely being untruthful when she said some guy walked away from the hijacked wheels just before deputies arrived. *The trespasser was still refusing to leave the 600 block of Sherwood Avenue at 5:04 p.m. He refused medical aid even though he was complaining of pain all over. A warning was given regarding the misuse of 911 services. Outside the Valley *Twenty-three incidents. Tuesday, May 3 *Sarah Ivory Jaentsch, 25, was demanding food at a restaurant in the 400 block of S. Redwood Hwy. at 10:25 a.m. She was charged with trespass and cited to appear in court, and advised that if she returned her next meal would be in the Josephine County Jail. *The operator of a Dodge Ram pickup truck was cited into Cave Junction Municipal Court for driving on a suspended license and operating without taillights. The traffic stop occurred at Caves Hwy. and Caves Avenue at 1:41 p.m. *Scott Cook was still trespassing in the 600 block of Sherwood Avenue at 3:12 p.m. Cook was apparently trying to leave, but it was said to be that he was so intoxicated that he could not walk. *JCSO assisted the Boy Scouts at the LDS Church at 209 S. Junction Avenue at 3:56 p.m. *A traveler from Michigan was warned for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk at S. Redwood Hwy. and W. Watkins Street at 4:52 p.m. Outside the Valley *Seventeen situations. Wednesday, May 4 *Some youngster was being disorderly in the 600 block of E. River Street at 11:57 a.m., but the information was redacted as a juvenile matter. *A deer met its demise on Golf Club Drive at 12:29 p.m. *At 1:57 p.m. a dude wearing a gray Bob Marley hoodie and black baseball cap stole a wallet from a car parked in the 200 block of Finch Road, then took off running towards the back of the trailer park. The wallet’s owner watched his bank account, and when he saw a $65 debit made at the Kerby Mart, he followed the thief from the store. The punk threw the debit card back at its owner, but the ID and insurance cards were still missing. Surveillance video will be reviewed, and a report will be filed for second-degree theft, ID theft and unlawful entry to a motor vehicle. *A restraining order was served and the recipient had moved out of the residence in the 4300 block of Caves Hwy. by 4:30 p.m. *There was a 911 hang-up call from the 200 block of N. Redwood Hwy. at 5:16 p.m., but there were no signs of disturbance at the River Valley Restaurant or at I.V. Guns and Ammo at 5:43 p.m. her garage had been ransacked and her chain saw was missing, she set off looking for the bin-draggers. She was advised to keep herself safe and to phone 911 if something else happens. *At 9:28 a.m., a chump phoned 911 from 406 S. Redwood Hwy. He refused to give his name, and claimed that he was just being stupid and having personal problems. At 12:08 p.m. Mark Anthony Davis, 28, was detained at Josephine County Jail pending extradition to California for a fugitive warrant for sex assault. *An SOS alarm was triggered at 9:29 a.m. in the 9400 block of Holland Loop. *The driver of a green Ford Explorer was irate and cussing because he was asked to leave a shaded spot at 406 S. Redwood Hwy. at 9:43 a.m. He was trespassed from this location due to previous issues. *A bus passenger going from Cave Junction to Grants Pass realized that he had left his Ipod on the bus. He remote locked his phone, and pinged its location to Playford Lane. The lock screen on the black Ipod should have a photo of a younger girl with a mole on her right cheek. *Gunshots were heard from the 100 block of Myrna Lane shortly before 2:32 p.m., from a residence that should have been vacant. A motorcycle and white car were parked at that location, but there were no signs of a disturbance. Outside the Valley *Thirteen logged entries. Thursday, May 5 *At 2:25 p.m. a gold-colored Dodge was discovered over the embankment in the 3400 block of Westside Road. The license plate and vehicle identification number matched a Ford Ranger. *Only one incident for Cinco de Mayo? Amazing! Outside the Valley *Twenty-two incidents. Friday, May 6 *An obnoxious bully was harassing neighbors in the 400 block of O’Brien Road at 9:30 a.m. The nuisance banged on one door asking a guy to come out and fight. A while later he was being aggressive on Waldo Road and O’Brien Road. Law enforcement gave him a ride home and spoke to him about his behavior at 11:53 a.m. *A grandmother reported that her grandson was trespassing in the 300 block of S. Caves Avenue at 10:48 a.m. Outside the Valley *Twenty-two listings. Saturday, May 7 *Four kids with backpacks were trespassing in the swimming pool area in the 500 block of E. River Street at 9:04 a.m. *Two dudes wearing knit caps were pulling a bin on a skateboard down Ferris Lane at 9:08 a.m. When an irate woman realized that Outside the Valley *Nineteen items.
