Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Monday, Jan. 19 Office, there was a note that it would be moved the same day. *Part of a semitruck was said to be lying on the asphalt in the 5000 block of Takilma Road. *There was an assist-the- public situation on Kerby Street, but all other details were redacted. Outside the Valley *Some 24 calls listed. *An elderly Cave Junction woman who was in hospice care, as she had cancer, was found to be deceased. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors responded. *In the 23000 block of Redwood Hwy. a woman asked for a deputy from the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) to check her efforts to comply with a Fix-It ticket. He did. Outside the Valley *Fourteen calls including one about an ignorant, evil person who tried to abandon a cat at a public park. And on Andy Griffith Lane not much happened, but we like the name of the road. Wednesday, Jan. 21 *The Ollis Road owner of a pickup truck, who had reported it stolen, advised that he had found it behind a CJ church. *On Westside Road there was a “civil issue resolved by trespassing one party from the property,” stated JCSO. *An attempt to serve a restraining order (RO) occurred on Terrace Drive. Outside the Valley *The log lists 16 calls and incidents. Thursday, Jan. 22 Tuesday, Jan. 20 *There was a reported stolen pickup truck incident on Ollis Road. The owner said tools valued at $3,000 to $4,000 were in the rear. *Some sort of disturbance that included yelling in Kerby was complained about; no crime was detected. *Although a vehicle appeared to be abandoned at the Selma Post *On Terrace Drive an RO was served at 7:20 a.m. *There was a case of theft on Airport Drive with JCSO advising that a “reported laptop (was) taken and returned.” *A vehicle abandoned for approximately a week at Taylor’s Country Store was found to not be reported stolen, and the complainant was advised of options for getting rid of the darn thing. *In the 17000 block of Redwood Hwy. said JCSO: “Complainant reports that unknown subject caused damage to the neighbor’s fence with their vehicle. Logged for info pending contact from the victim.” *There was an O’Brien call with JCSO stating that someone “reports ongoing harassment by ex- girlfriend’s mother. Logged for info and info referred to OSP.” *On Glendon Road in Kerby a resident was suspicious of workers with trucks, who claimed that they needed to look at a “power pole” (actually they should be called utility poles) on the resident’s property. Investigation determined that the workers were legitimate, as they were subcontractors for Pacific Power. *A situation of harassment was reported on McMullen Creek Road. The complainant stated that someone is phoning his family and making false accusation, and making libelous comments on Facebook. The complainant was advised regarding obtaining an RO. Outside the Valley *Sixteen calls and incidents. Friday, Jan. 23 *What might have been a traffic problem occurred in the Selma area on Redwood Hwy. (Maybe). *In the Crooks Creek area, a vehicle that apparently had been I.V. GUNS & AMMO 541-592-3349 crashed and removed. A deputy was documenting damage to the area. *On Gamay Drive a woman was warned about unlawful parking. *Following an alarm in the 6000 block of Takilma Road at 10:50 a.m. JCSO tagged the call “beyond available resources.” *Something might have happened near milepost 2 of Illinois River Road. *There was a vehicle stop at the Junction Inn, but no details were provided. *Although the location was redacted, JCSO advised that there was a “sex offense involving a juvenile” and that it was referred to OSP. *Following a request for help from the 5000 block of Westside Road, said to involve a missing person, JCSO determined that the person in question was OK. Outside the Valley *Nineteen log entries. Saturday, Jan. 24 *A group of creeps and punks keep vandalizing and burglarizing a home on Old Stage Road, it was reported. They often are seen at “the top of River Street.” *JCSO stated that after a “report of littering at the (I.V. Senior Center) Thrift Store, “both parties were contacted and worked out a civil compromise.” *Near milepost 2 of Illinois River Road a deputy checked around for a time. *Forks State Park was patrolled. *Littering was reported in the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy. *In the 3000 block of Waldo Road a motorist was checked and advised of his driving status and that he needs to get the vehicle registered in his name. *For some reason a deputy was trying to contact someone with a motor home in the 11000 block of Caves Hwy. *S. Junction Avenue and Jubilee Park were patrolled. Outside the Valley *Like 14 calls. Sunday, Jan. 25 *An O’Brien resident reported that two men were on his property taking his firewood including cutting live trees. He said that they “are neighbors who have threatened to burn his house and shoot guns on his property.” It was found that no live trees were being cut in the incident of trespassing, and no report was to follow. *Two foster children were said to be “beyond parental control” on Merlot Drive, but then the family decided to keep them.
