Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** ken locks. *The fellow reported in some- one’s barn on Takilma Road was said to have returned close to 3 p.m., but left on a bicycle. Outside the Valley Monday, Oct. 20 *From the 7400 block of Takil- ma Road came a call at 8:53 a.m. about a man with an ax in someone’s barn. He was said to have held up the ax to threaten the reporting party’s brother, who has a gun. The intrud- er was not located, and a report on second-degree burglary, possibly in- volving firearms, was pending. *After a report of a dead person in the 7600 block of Holland Loop, Illinois Valley Fire District (IVFD) responded. It was termed a death due to natural causes. *There was a report of a vehi- cle being stolen from N. Old Stage Road, and it was located in the mid- dle of Kerby Mainline. *Theft of a .45-caliber firearm from a gun safe at a home on Thomp- son Creek Road was reported. *Harassment by a neighbor was complained about on Clear Creek Road in the Selma area. The com- plainant is worried that the neighbor is becoming delusional, and cited a statement by him about using lethal force. *A possibly mentally unstable man was reported in the Tycer Cross- ing area. Harassment was indicated. *There was a call from O’Brien road about a guy who has thrown rocks at people, trespassed and bro- *There were 14 calls including one from a man who said that two of his employees came to his house while he was sleeping and injected him with something that made him delusional. Tuesday, Oct. 21 *At 9:25 a.m. a 911 hang-up call was received from the 29000 block of Redwood Hwy. Upon call- backs only static and then a busy sig- nal were heard. The call was termed “beyond available resources” (BAR) by the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO). *The manager at Ray’s Food Place in Selma told people in a for- mer school bus on store property to stop using store electricity and move on, but they refused. He added that the people were using illegal drugs. When a deputy contacted the tres- passers they said that they could be gone in five hours. That was agree- able to the manager, who cut their power. *JCSO deputies and Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers were ad- vised of a gold-colored Chevy pick- up truck being driven northbound on Redwood Hwy. from the north side of Selma, as its driver was being ex- tremely reckless. *In the 1400 block of Rocky- dale Road, said a man (name not in log/NIL), his vehicle was forced off the road by someone driving a red Toyota pickup truck. The complain- ant said that his vehicle incurred significant damage and that the other driver left without providing information, then returned, but left again. *At the north end of CJ a situ- ation “resolved itself” although it initially appeared that someone was going to harm someone else. *Identity theft seemed to be the case when a Rockydale Road resi- dent said that someone used his info to file a claim with the IRS. *Someone (NIL) driving a sil- ver-colored Mustang was warned about speeding on Rockydale Road. *The Clackamas County Sher- iff’s Office asked JCSO to check for a wanted person on Lakeshore Drive. The person was located, but the county jail wouldn’t accept him, apparently because his charge was not serious enough. So JCSO called it BAR and notified Clackamas County. *At S. Redwood Hwy. and E. Lister Street a deputy responded with IVFD and American Medical Response (AMR) for a “man down” call. *A man in the 37000 block of Redwood Hwy. said that his wife phoned to say that she was thrash- ing the house and then was going to come kill him in Downtown CJ. He was advised to phone 911 if she showed up. *Animal Control took charge of a loose black pit bull with a black harness but no tags on S. Hussey Av- enue. *Two guys in a speeding car northbound on Redwood Hwy. from Selma were wanted after it was re- ported to OSP that one of the guys pointed a gun at another driver. The car was stopped in Grants Pass; de- tails were not provided in the log. Outside the Valley *Thirteen calls listed. Wednesday, Oct. 22 *First-degree burglary at an unoccupied home on Jonathan Court was reported. *Criminal mischief was report- ed at Illinois Valley High School. No details were in the log. *Several transients outside the Josephine County Bldg. in Down- town Cave Junction were told to leave the area by a deputy shortly prior to noon. *On Garner Road a woman said that she was scared of her fa- ther, who lives there with her and her daughter. Domestic violence was reported, but a deputy found no evi- dence of a crime. The dad left prior to the deputy’s arrival, and then the daughter left the residence. Outside the Valley *Among 19 calls were several residential burglaries and an incident at Rogue Community College in which a woman had to lock herself in her car because of her idiot boy- friend acting like a (dirty word). Thursday, Oct. 23 *No incidents reported in Illi- nois Valley. Outside the Valley *Sixteen calls. Friday, Oct. 24 *Upon finding “a small tree” on the roadway in the 1900 of Reeves Creek Road, a deputy removed it, “leafing” the way clear. *Close to 10 a.m. a motorist (NIL) crashed his or her vehicle into a tree in the 1900 block of Lakeshore Drive, and was taken to a hospital by AMR. IVFD also responded to as- sist. *At the north end of Cave Junction two transients were “put- ting items in front of the building and walked away.” Extra patrol was requested. It was noted that the tran- sients had been advised earlier to move along.
