Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** nue began the eviction process, add- ing that Civil Court might become involved. *Two small horses running loose in Kerby near the Finch Road bridge were corralled with help from a Good Samaritan. Monday, Nov. 4 Tuesday, Nov. 5 *There was concern from Lorna Byrne Middle School after Facebook entries indicated that there would be trouble at the school and at Jubilee Park the next day. *Animal Control was advised about a place on Lakeshore Drive in Selma, said to be a marijuana grow site, where a man lets his critters including a goat and a donkey run loose and bother neighbors after he cut down all the trees on the prop- erty. *OSP was notified of a deceased person due to what’s believed to be heart failure on Ollis Road in CJ. *After getting 10 bucks worth of gas a motorist with a burgundy colored pickup truck left without paying, driving off through the car wash at the CJ 76 station. *The sheriff’s office for San Bernardino County in California was notified of the possibility that a Rockydale Road resident with Al- zheimer’s Disease was driving there. It was a missing person case. *A landlord on S. Kerby Ave- *A transient reported on prop- erty behind I.V. High School was told to move on. *Something happened on Pine- wood Way on the south side of CJ. *Something also happened on S. Old Stage Road. *A deputy provided backup for OSP in connection with a two- vehicle crash in the 25000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 10:49 a.m. *From Nolan Road came a 911 hang-up call during which car en- gines could be heard. No problem was located. *Near the Sterling Savings Bank branch in CJ a man was checked, but he wasn’t the right guy for whatever someone was wanted for. *An unidentified man from Cave Junction drove his vehicle off the road, through a fence and into a tree at or near the Lake Selmac Resort. He was confused and said that a Filipino woman was chasing him. American Medical Response (AMR) and I.V. Fire District (IVFD) responded. The man’s wife said that she’s been trying to get his license revoked. Wednesday, Nov. 6 *An abandoned, completely stripped SUV, possibly a Ford Ex- plorer, was found upside-down in a ditch in the 7000 block of Rockydale Road. It appeared that it might have been there a while. *In CJ at 9:30 a.m. Jesse James reported that at 6 a.m. while he was sleeping in his car at the O’Brien Country Store a man with an “assault rifle” held him at gunpoint and took his cell phone and wallet, warning him to not look at him. He also asked if he had meth or pot. James added that the man then had him drive to a secluded location where he threw away the keys and left him. *Two licenses of an undis- closed nature were found on Queen of Bronze Road in Takilma. *A duffle bag was found at Rough & Ready Park on the south side of CJ. *On Deer Creek Road while a man was cooking outside, he said that a “very crazy” neighbor caused some problems and made accusa- tions. The complain- ant noted that the suspect has been watching her home and hangs with bad folks. The list concluded with the comment, “ I believe she is doing this to other people too. Please help us. This woman is up to no good.” *Four restraining orders were served on Waldo Road. And one on White School Road. *(The preceding comprise log entries for incidents in the Valley that date. However, rural Grants Pass residents experienced many more troublesome problems includ- ing someone who found a bag of bloody body parts that turned out to be from a deer.) Friday, Nov. 8 *A restraining order was served on White School Road. *Following an emergency run to a home in Selma, it was deter- mined that a report of three people in a resident’s home, including one with a rifle, was not entirely accu- rate. The complainant suffers from dementia. *An unidentified, incoherent, unable-to-stand and apparently in- toxicated woman was taken by med- ics in an AMR ambulance to a hos- pital after her vehicle was found in a ditch at E. River Street and Laurel Road. IVFD personnel also respond- ed. The vehicle was towed. *After a burglar alarm at Mc- Grew’s in O’Brien at 1:02 p.m. (yes, p.m.; not a.m.) the owners were then notified, as the alarm was termed “beyond available resources.” *Personnel at Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass asked at 1:28 p.m. that a deputy con- tact anyone at a residence in Takil- ma, as they had a stroke patient who couldn’t talk and was related some- how to the Takilma address. A depu- ty arrived at 2:28 p.m. *An OSP trooper in Cave Junc- tion was flagged down and told of a domestic dispute in the downtown area, but such was not located. *A deputy left a note on a ve- hicle at St. Patrick Catholic Church in CJ that the registration needed re- newal. *(Rural GP calls included two serious harassment situations; one involving a woman with a wolf-like dog and another involving a man with an air horn.)
