All persons listed are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Friday, May 13 * At 2:31 p.m., a call came in from someone at the Siskiyou Field Institute who recognized his property in the back of a yellow Toyota pickup that was driving down Illinois River Road. Saturday, May 14 * Dispatchers received a phone call at 1:14 a.m. regarding an accident that happened around 11 p.m. in the South Valley Bank parking lot. The woman caller said that a vehicle with Washington plates hit her car, and ‘popped her sun roof’ as well as other damages. The driver provided her with his DMV and insurance information. * An argument at 4 p.m. at Kerby High Pines Trailer park consisted of a woman telling a guy to give her the money back, with him saying without it he would be broke. There were no signs of a Where’s the Alarm? May 19, 2011 • 4:55 p.m., M.A., 25000 block Redwood Hwy. • 7:18 p.m., M.A., 400 block Aquarius Way May 20, 2011 • 12:11 p.m., small vehicle fire, 18000 block Redwood Hwy. disturbance. * Robert James Dinkel was cited in Cave Junction Municipal Court for driving while uninsured, improper display and expired. His car was eventually towed by Jerry’s Towing at 9:03 p.m. * A possibly intoxicated guy was observed spinning out in his red SUV near the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. starting at about 2:30 a.m. He didn’t listen when told that he should park his vehicle and sleep it off. Sunday, May 15 * Just before 9 a.m. six cows found the grass was greener in a pasture in the 100 block of Jackadel Road. * At 10:04 a.m. a woman reported an injury to her shoulder when she was pushed into a doorframe and cabinets by the previous owners of property which she had recently purchased in the 6000 block of Althouse. * At 5:04 p.m., a very antagonistic 16-year-old female on Crooks Creek Road was yelling in her father’s face, and she could be heard provoking her father and grandmother in the background of the 911 call. Both parties were counseled and agreed to work out their differences. Ah, yes — teenagers. * A different teenager on Crooks Creek Road locked his mom out of the house and told her to move out. Her purse and keys were inside the house so she couldn’t leave so she requested deputies to assist her. They worked out their differences and mom was allowed back in. * A guy called the victims of a recent burglary and admitted that he committed the burglary. He then told the victims that if they drop the first-degree burglary charge he will turn himself in. But if they don’t drop charges he will send his whole family to burn their house down and hurt the husband very badly. Tuesday, May 17 * This time another son is yelling at his mother, but since he does not live in the 700 block of Fernwood Drive, he will be making arrangements to stay somewhere else * Theft of alcohol was reported at a business that was not yet open when two men came in and went to the bathroom shortly before 11 a.m. One of the men came out looking like he was hiding something in his pants, and when confronted, they both took off running to their late 80s or early 90s blue/gray Nissan Sentra parked at Radio Shack. * Telephonic harassment was reported at noon when a man in Sacramento called and told a woman he was on his way over to put a bullet in her head and kill her. Wednesday, May 18 * Just after midnight neighbors in Kerby High Pines trailer park reported sounds as if a woman was gasping for air and crying and a man was yelling, but when contacted, there was no problem at the location, and no man in sight. * There was a horse loose at Reeves Creek/Redwood Hwy. with a rope tied to its back leg and a woman was eventually able to catch the horse because it didn’t have a leg to stand on. * People were threatening to shoot their neighbors in an argument about a cat on Caves Hwy. at 10:23 a.m. * George Mason May’s Most Wanted Arrested Sunday, May 22, 2011 Arrested: Catherine Louise Bozant, 07/23/60 Charges: FTA - Manufacture of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, Distribution of Marijuana, Manufacture of Meth, Possession of Meth, Distribution of Meth, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Child Neglect I and Criminal Forfeiture. FTA - Driving While Suspended-Misd. Grants Pass, OR ― The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office reported Sunday, May 22 that on Saturday at 4:45 p.m., Deputy Mike Mason located and arrested Catherine Louise Bozant. Mason reportedly stopped Bozant for a traffic violation, who recognized her as one of May’s most wanted. Bozant was detained on a felony FTA warrant from both the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office and the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, with bail set at $507,500.00. Bozant was cited to appear for the additional charge of driving with a suspended license. The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office monthly Most Wanted posters can be viewed at http://jocosheriff.us. Friday, May 20, 2011 Arrested: Brian Fletcher Ellington Jr. 05/05/91 Charges: FTA Burglary I, Menacing, Theft III and Criminal Mischief III FTA - Criminal Mischief II FTA - Criminal Trespass II Cave Junction, OR — Deputies contacted and arrested Brian Fletcher Ellington Jr. at 3:30 a.m. Friday at Jubilee Park in Cave Junction. Ellington had a felony FTA warrant from the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office and two FTA warrants from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety. Ellington was Detained on the charges listed above. Bail is set at $37,500.00. McDowell was arrested and detained at the Josephine County Jail for fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) and strangulation after an incident in the 5000 block of Rockydale Road. * An unsatisfied customer went to talk to the owner of a business about being ‘ripped off’ and was pushed up against a truck by the business owner on Old Stage Road. Thursday, May 19 * Phillip Y. Fraser was arrested for failure to appear on second-degree theft charges and booked at the Josephine County Jail at 4:16 p.m. * Neighbors were arguing at Kerby High Pines trailer park, threatening physical harm and yelling about a TV being up too loud at 6:35 p.m. * Debra Jane Merideth was booked at the JoCo Jail for second-degree disorderly conduct after hitting a guy in the face and causing a disturbance on Norman Road just after midnight. * Two young men in a silver BMW have been going onto property in the 2600 block of Deer Creek Road without permission. A message was left them at the Josephine County Sheriff’s office regarding trespassing and menacing. Friday, May 20 * A prowler was banging on a door in the Pineridge Trailer Park in Kerby at 3 a.m., but by the time the caller would get to the door the prankster was gone. A light blue mini van was parked outside her residence * At 3:17 a.m. Brian Fletcher Elington claimed he was being chased at Jubilee Park by people who were going to stab him and cut his Adam’s apple out with a knife. Ellington was rescued from this dreadful fate by being arrested for failure to appear for first-degree burglary, menacing, third-degree theft and third-degree criminal mischief charges. * Neighbors asked a renter in the 300 block of N. Hussey Ave. to turn the TV down and be quiet, so he turned the TV off at 3:35 a.m. At 4 a.m., there was loud noise again, only this time it was loud music and not a movie. When law enforcement arrived, he agreed to be quiet for the rest of the night.
