Good Shepherd Lutheran Church This week’s Old Testa- ment lesson was about Samuel being called while sleeping by God. He had bad news about the future of Samuel’s family. When Samuel tells Eli the news, he believes it and tells Eli to relate it. The point is for us to open our hearts to hear what God is trying to tell us. We must not hesitate. Joe Gonsalves & Family “Mo” You are the song playing in my heart…I am forever yours! Jo You Want To Know About This... Q: Is it true that Hospice is a place where you go to die? A: In some geographic areas, there is a Hospice House licensed as such by the state and Medicare. At present there is not a Hospice House in Southern Oregon. Hospices deliver care in the place where the patient lives, whether that is a private home or a facility. Hospice provides nursing, spiritual, and social work services and support, but around-the-clock care is not provided. Your area has resources which include in-home caregivers as well as care facilities. State of Oregon Senior and Disability Services, Medicare, your private insurance company, or Veteran’s Administration may help answer your questions about resources. Your Hospice Social Worker will be a good person to ask about community resources. ~ Cheryl Valentine, R.N., Executive Director ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Lovejoy Hospice 939 SE 8th Street Grants Pass 474-1193 GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH East River Street & Lewis Court Pastor Don Torala Sunday School - 9:15 a.m. Sunday Worship - 10 a.m. Tuesday Youth group - 6 p.m. Church Phone: 592-2290 www.goodshepherdlutheraniv.org * * * SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH 265 S.
