Charges can be amended or dismissed.) * * * Friday, Aug. 1 *A Caves Hwy. resident complained about a man who would not leave the property although he’d already been warned about trespassing. *Regarding a long- standing property dispute in the 33000 block of Redwood Hwy., a caller said that the other party had threatened to remove survey stakes. *Several people loitering on S. Hussey Avenue were contacted at 12:51 p.m. *In Cave Junction a woman’s neighbor told her that teen-agers had been peer- ing through her windows. *Jeremy D. Newsome, 32, was cited on charges of driving under the influence of an intoxicant (DUII), driving uninsured and driving with a suspended (DWS) license on Rockydale Road at 6:54 p.m. *Thomas A. Page, 49, was cited on a charge of har- assment/menacing on S. Caves Avenue. *Near the green bridge out Illinois River Road, a caller said that a nearby man had been firing a shotgun, and that shot fell on him, his tent, and his truck. *An O’Brien caller com- plained of loud music coming from a half-mile away from his house every Friday night. Saturday, Aug. 2 *Anna Lee Smith, 32, was cited on charges of speed- ing (39 mph in a 30 mph zone) and failure to carry proof of insurance. She was warned for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. *Kyle David Thier was cited on a charge of DWS in the 200 block of N. Redwood Hwy. at 2:15 p.m. His vehicle was impounded. *Five people were “trespassed” from Pomeroy Dam at 2:51 p.m. *“So intoxicated he could not stand,” Otis Jones, 54, was contacted at Jubilee Park at 3:30 p.m. and taken to county jail on charges of pro- bation violation, resisting ar- rest and attempted assault on a public safety officer. *Following a reported disturbance at Lake Selmac at 8:52 p.m., James David Breedlove, 33, was cited on a felony charge of fourth- degree domestic assault. *Contacted at Lake Sel- mac, Job C. McGhee, 21, was cited on charges of DWS and failure to appear on an origi- nal traffic offense charge. Sunday, Aug. 3 *In the 27000 block of Redwood Hwy. a woman reported a wallet as stolen. *David Randall, 28, was cited on a charge of DWS on Redwood Hwy. at Waldo Road at 1:28 a.m. His vehicle was impounded. *Brent T. Laucher, 38, was cited on a charge of speeding (77/45) on Red- wood Hwy. south of Cave Junction at 2:17 a.m. *A disturbance involving angry people was reported in the 700 block of Redwood Hwy. at 3:41 a.m. *In Cave Junction a 15- year-old said that he’d been punched in the stomach by a man in his 20s. *Paul A. Duran, 41, was cited on a charge of speeding in the 18000 block of Red- wood Hwy. at 7:35 p.m. *On S. Kerby Avenue, an intoxicated woman refused medical attention, and de- clared that she would go home for the evening. *Brenda M. Mahlatini, 45, was cited on a charge of speeding in the 26000 block of Redwood Hwy. *William Robert Dick- son, 55, was cited for lack of a motorcycle endorsement in Downtown CJ at 8:18 p.m. *Following investigation of an incident last week, Luann K. Walsh, 63, was cited on a charge of fourth- degree assault. *On S. Old Stage Road a young man was reported to have hit himself in the head with an ax. He was given a ride to a residence. Monday, Aug. 4 *The alleged victim of an assault, reported at 12:39 a.m., was trespassed from a residence in the 28000 block of Redwood Hwy. *Several drivers were warned about speeding around the valley early this a.m. *Theft of a wallet from Illinois Valley Family Re- source Center was reported. The caller stated that some $980 had been charged on her credit card, including pur- chases in Cave Junction. Compton, 33, was cited on a charge of speeding (61/40) on Red- wood Hwy. at Laurel Road at 9:57 p.m. *Unknown persons were seen with flashlights peering through windows and investi- gating scrap lumber at a con- struction site in Kerby. *In Selma a woman who was found bleeding from her head and rectum on a parking lot was transported to a hospi- tal. It was thought that she had been assaulted. Tuesday, Aug. 5 *Following a report of a disturbance on Madrona Drive, Anthony Grebisz, 20, was cited on warrants charg- ing failure to appear on origi- nal charges of DUII and inter- fering with a police officer. *Ian Michael Gonzales, 25, was cited for lack of an operator’s permit in the 26000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 2:56 a.m. *Some genius smashed a mailbox on Wildpark Lane, a man reported. *On Thompson Creek Road a woman reported hav- ing been punched in the face by her 12-year-old daughter. *Daniel Guitron Villegas, 19, was cited on a charge of speeding at mile- post 19 on Redwood Hwy. at 7:43 p.m. *Close to 11 p.m. some- one was said to be on the roof of the SOOS store on S. Caves Avenue. The trespasser left prior to a deputy’s arrival. *Justin T. Horn, 18, was cited on a charge of harass- ment following a report of juvenile people and someone spitting in someone else’s face on S. Caves Avenue close to 11 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6 *Tree-trimmers had a deputy stand by on Happy Camp Road after a resident threatened them. *On Eight Dollar Road a forest service officer found a car reported stolen from Grants Pass some time ago. *Near Lake Selmac RV Resort, a woman was warned about speeding in her car. *Terrence Gilbert Bar- nes, 53, was cited in Cave Junction on charges of no operator’s license and no in- surance. His vehicle was im- pounded. *No one seemed to know why the alarm sounded at the Illinois Valley Branch Li- brary at 8:32 p.m. *Several loiterers were contacted outside the Illinois Valley Real Estate office at 9 p.m. in Downtown CJ. *A welfare check was requested in connection with a Cave Junction woman who has mental problems and won’t take her medication. *An O’Brien resident said that his son, 15, is a run- away person. *A loiterer was contacted behind the Cave Junction DQ at 10:16 p.m. *There was a dispute in a Cave Junction store involving a woman with an unleashed dog, who claimed it was a service dog, but had no docu- mentation.
