(Photo by Michelle Binker, Illinois Valley News) RCC president contract extended to 2010 The Rogue Community College Board of Education recently extended the con- tract of college president, Dr. Peter Angstadt. The board unanimously extended his contract an additional year to 2010 and approved an increase in the president’s base compensa- tion by 1.5 percent. Ang- stadt has been the college’s president since July 2004. The agreement is a three-year rolling contract with performance and com- pensation reviewed annu- ally, and previously ran from July 2006 to 2009. “Peter has established himself in the last three years as a leader in the edu- cation community in the Rogue Valley,” said board Chairman Kevin Talbert. “We are proud of the work he has done, and this con- tract extension reflects that.” Josephine County board member Jim Dole, who chaired the committee evaluating the president, also noted, “Dr. Angstadt has led the college through a Hey kids, looking for something fun to do?
