Kulongoski awarded the Skanner Foun- dation an Oregon Economic and Community Develop- ment Dept. grant for devel- opment of a neighborhood multimedia training center in North Portland. In partnership with Portland Community Media, Portland Community Col- lege, and several local me- dia companies, the Skanner Foundation will use the $147,250 grant from the governor’s strategic reserve fund to train individuals in video production and jour- nalism.
