Tree, 34, were cited on a charge of failure to drive right on Illinois River Road at 2:27 p.m. *Contacted on Eight Dollar Road at 5:17 p.m., Dava Kimberly Nelson- Webbe, 32, was cited to appear in Sutherlin Munici- pal Court on a warrant charging contempt of court. She also was charged with possession of controlled substances (PCS) metham- phetamine and marijuana, and lodged in Josephine County Jail. *Also contacted on Eight Dollar Road, Richard Abe Linville, 54, was ar- rested on warrants charging failure to appear (FTA) on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII) and parole violation, and lodged in county jail. *Unaware that it is not illegal to shoot firearms out- side city limits, a man in the 4000 block of Cave Hwy. reported hearing gunshots from nearby. Friday, Aug. 12 *The owner of a Cave Junction shopping complex was mistakenly identified as a burglar around 10 a.m. *A trespasser riding a motorcycle dented a man’s fifth-wheel trailer in the 27000 block of Redwood Hwy., said a complainant. *On Ken Rose Lane, a locked residence was broken into, and all the animal oc- cupants -- one dog, two cats and three kittens -- were subsequently missing, a woman reported. *Wyoming resident Willa P. Verber, 31, was cited on a federal charge of interference with a forest officer on Eight Dollar Road at the green bridge around 4:30 p.m. *Nearly six weeks ago, a Kerby woman’s ATM card was stolen, she said, but she only became aware of it after receiving her bank statement. *A business owner in the 300 block of S. Red- wood Hwy. wanted aggres- sive panhandlers “run off” at 5 p.m. A deputy was unable to locate the subjects. *“Lots of smoke” was coming from an open burn on Lone Mountain Road. The occupant extinguished the blaze and agreed to cook on a stove. *With a blood alcohol content of 0.12, Eric Dwayne Forrer, 52, was cited on charges of DUII and driving while suspended (DWS) on W. For the first time in history, two commodities top the half billion dollar mark in value. Also for the first time, Ore- gon’s top five commodities each have a value exceeding $350 million. Among the top 10, the largest percentage increase in value last year was re- corded by milk (33 percent) followed by hay and grass seed (20 percent each). Pears (19 per- cent) and cattle and calves (17 percent ) also recorded sig- nificant increases in value of produc- tion. The green- house and nursery industry -- the first Oregon agricultural commodity to crack the $800 mil- lion mark -- saw a fairly modest 5 percent rise. Saturday, Aug. 13 *Several gunshots and slamming doors were heard on Hogue Drive near where people had been “hanging out,” a caller said at half past midnight. *Just after 3 a.m. a resi- dent on W. Stevenson Street heard someone pounding on and breaking glass. A dep- uty could locate nothing and spoke to a “security worker,” who said he had not heard anything. *On W. Lister Street a vehicle was broken into and some $800 in stereo equip- ment taken, it was reported. *Several fire hydrants in Cave Junction were van- dalized, and the city of Cave Junction Public Works Dept. was advised. *In the 5000 block of Illinois River Road, Myles Benjamin Hook, 28, was cited on charges of failure to drive right, DWS, and driv- ing uninsured. During the same contact, another per- son, not identified as a sur- geon, was warned about “committing unlawful op- erations.” *Some man called her home, identified himself as her son, and then began making “very lewd com- ments,” a woman on La- mont Way said at 2 p.m. *Isidro Jesus Moreno, 27, was cited on charges of failure to drive right and driving uninsured on Illinois River Road at 2:11 p.m. *Matthew Gordon Draper, 16, was cited on charges of lack of insurance and lack of an operator’s permit on Illinois River Road at 3:13 p.m. *Michael W. Hawks, 39, was cited on a charge of failure to drive right on Illi- nois River Road at 5 p.m. *“Stop” signs were down and out on Kerby Street at Lister Street and River Street intersections. *Ryan Jeffrey Reed, 24, was cited on a charge of failure to drive right on Illi- nois River Road at 5:30 p.m. *Several campers were reportedly shooting firearms all day at a campsite on Eight Dollar Road. *Intoxicated and said to s u f f e r f r o m “physcophrynia” (sic), a young man on a bicycle was yelling at people near Lake Selmac Resort at 6 p.m. *In Selma at 6:38 p.m., Gary William Edwards, 58, was arrested on charges of probation violation, PCS meth, and DWS. *Richard Tyler Kale, 21, was cited on charges of careless and reckless driving after he was clocked at 108 mph in a 55 mph zone north of Selma at 7:18 p.m. *Ansley D. Gosnell, 22, was picked up on a warrant charging FTA on a charge of DUII at Six Mile Camp- ground at 8:45 p.m. *Two firearms were seized from a watchman at a logging unit on Forest Road 2411-501 around 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14 *Rowdy and disruptive campers at Grayback Camp- ground in the 12000 block of Caves Hwy. were told to keep the noise down and said they would leave the next morning at the park host’s request. *Several people were drinking alcohol and refus- ing to leave the Blackberry Festival when asked, but they did leave prior to a dep- uty’s arrival. *Sometime during the past two months unknown persons entered a locked concrete bunker on U.S. Forest Service land and stole a hydro-electric generator valued at $20,000, a man on Illinois River Road reported. *Contacted on S. Junc- tion Avenue at 5:30 p.m., Jeremy Justin Beck, 25, was cited to appear on a charge of FTA on an original third- degree theft charge. *Gary Thomas Kull, 55, was cited on a charge of failure to drive right on Illi- nois River Road at 6:30 p.m. *Service station patrons in Downtown CJ were com- plaining that an approxi- mately 40-year-old woman who appeared to be “very high” and “greasy in appear- ance” was offering sex for drugs. It was said the woman had been around for a couple of days. Monday, Aug. 15 *Just after midnight a woman on S. Junction Ave. said that someone had just attempted to take fuel from her car. She indicated that it was a reoccurring problem. *In Selma a man said he believes his wallet was sto- len by a man to whom he’d given a ride, but he couldn’t prove it. *Two men who nearly struck two other cars while driving from Cave Junction to Kerby were said to be parked in a Kerby neighbor- hood, one of the other two drivers said at 6:13 p.m. *Although mother sus- pected she knew where the girl was, a 14-year-old was listed as a runaway person at 7:30 p.m. *On Rockydale Road a man said that he believed a dog, which howled and seemed quite intent, was attempting to lead him to someone deceased or in- jured in the woods. *In the 300 block of S. Redwood Hwy., a naked woman was said to be hav- ing sex, though it was not said with whom. A deputy found one woman and four men, all of whom were warned for public intoxica- tion and “trespassed” from the location. *On S. Old Stage Road at 8 p.m. a woman was yell- ing, throwing things, and would not go away, accord- ing to a caller. Tuesday, Aug. 16 *Bobette B.
