KERBY RESIDENTS are
awaiting the day that
they will receive their
water supply through an
arrangement with the
city of Cave Junction.
Meanwhile, the old Kerby
Ditch, which served resi-
dents for years, is dete-
riorating, but there’s a
possibility that because
of its historic value,
some portions could be
saved.

One of two suspects be-
lieved involved in burglary of
auction items was arrested by
Grants Pass Dept. of Public

Arrested was Shane Mi-
chael Cardoza, 34, a transient.
He was charged with first-
degree burglary, being a felon
in possession of a firearm, sec-

and store workers. He tried to
hide a gun on a shelf, said
GPDPS.
The second suspect is still
at large. He was seen behind
Albertson’s on Beacon Drive
