Page 11 Illinois Valley News, Cave Junction, OR Wednesday, March 9, 2005 SOFCU NEW QUARTERS - Employees of SOFCU, a community credit union, moved into a newly remod- eled office Thursday, March 3 in the same building the Illinois Valley branch has occupied since 1973 in Downtown Cave Junction. Employees are (from left) branch manager Vicki Gill, Laree Bethke, Pamela Compton and Lisa Sherier. The remodeling was by Virgil Jines Construction, of CJ. The part of the build- ing that housed the credit union will be remodeled by Jines to include an office for Gill, a break room; and a rental space, which has already been taken. Still to come in the new branch is a technical center with a computer for member use. A drive-up window is part of the new branch, as well as a drive-up ATM. Doug Kendall, of CJ, did the design work for the construc- tion remodeling. The interior design is by Peggy Mull, SOFCU executive vice president. The branch is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Fridays; 10-5 Tues- days, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The drive-up is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mondays and Fridays; and 8:30-5:30 other weekdays. An authorized concessionaire of the National Park Service Seeking Local Artists Wrestlers raising funds for Down Under invitational Two of Illinois Val- ley’s standout wrestlers have been invited to the eighth annual Down Under International Games in Australia in July. Wescott Lynch and Sam Green -- seniors at I.V. High School, who were on the Cougar team that won this year’s Sky- line Conference champion- ship -- now have to earn the money to make the trip. They’ll be helped by their parents, but more as- sistance is needed. When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries disappear and life stands explained. - Mark Twain - Additional Listings Besides the program listings provided, the following also are among those available from Charter Communications.
