Charges can be amended or dismissed.) * * * Thursday, Dec. 2 *Chronically barking dogs on Deer Creek Road drove a neighbor to phone for assis- tance. The matter was referred to Josephine County Animal Control -- again. *Someone broke down a door to gain entry to a home on Pinewood Way, a woman said. They also took a vehicle and TV, she said. *By refusing to leave the roadway, a stray dog on Red- wood Hwy. was causing trou- ble. *Following a lunch hour traffic stop on Illinois River Road, Judy E. Keeling, 34, was cited on an open container charge, and Nathan I. Paige, 26, was cited on charges of possession of a controlled sub- stance (PCS), marijuana and open container. *James S. Towe, 28, was arrested on a charge of proba- tion violation. *Both driver and passen- ger of a vehicle stopped on Illinois River Road were warned for possession of mari- juana, and the driver was warned for expired tags and lack of insurance. *Having recently broken up with him, a woman reported that her estranged boyfriend had been stalking her around town for two days. *Daniel O. Stein, 40, was cited on federal charges of providing false information and removing timber without spe- cial-use authorization in the 14000 block of Illinois River Road. *Verbally abusive and lighting things on fire, a 58- year-old man was causing trou- ble at a foster care facility on Takilma Road. *A man on Ken Rose Lane said that his younger brother has repeatedly threat- ened him and that he is afraid 202 S. All was OK when the house- mate showed up later. Friday, Dec. 3 *Some 165 of his checks were fraudulently written by a former roommate, who stole them, said a man on Rockydale Road. *Red dump trucks, driven at high speed on Deer Creek Road, annoyed a man, who flagged down an officer to tell him so. *The neighbors dug up the culvert from her driveway and moved it to their property, a woman on Reeves Creek Road reported around 4 p.m. *Because his mother was calling other family members and speaking badly of his girl- friend and himself, an O’Brien man wanted to make a stalking complaint. *A man to whom he had loaned a utility trailer had not returned it or repeated phone calls, a man reported. Saturday, Dec. 4 *A 15-year-old person was taken to the Juvenile Jus- tice Center in Grants Pass for violating curfew at 3:47 a.m. *A Caves Hwy. resident phoned after seeing lights on in a former “meth house” which was supposed to be unoccu- pied. *In the 28000 block of Redwood Hwy. loud music and possible gunshots were heard around 2 a.m. *No one was injured when a car struck a utility pole on Holland Loop at Hay’s Cut-Off at 2:48 a.m. *After striking another vehicle and a pedestrian (without causing injury), a driver left the scene in the 400 block of Redwood Hwy. with- out leaving a name, it was re- ported. *Dogs were once again barking in the 8000 block of Deer Creek Road. *In the 3000 block of Deer Creek Road, a man said that people in pickup trucks have been trespassing on his prop- erty to reach a nearby logging operation. *“Burned to the ground,” a stolen pickup truck was found alight in the 11000 block of Caves Hwy. on national forest land around 5:15 p.m. *Tenants in the 23000 block of Redwood Hwy., who had been asked to move out, showed no signs of doing so, a landlord said when she re- quested deputy assistance. *In CJ a man said his wife’s debit card was missing, and that he knew of a possible suspect. *Contacted at Illinois River “Forks” State Park at 9 p.m., two people were advised about park hours. Sunday, Dec. 5 *Caught on videotape, an employee at a business in Downtown CJ may have taken approximately $250 from the store. *A man tossed her against a wall, down onto a bed, and then threw an assault rifle at her, a woman reported around noon. *A man against whom she had a restraining order is still following her around, and he was even looking through her windows the night before, she said. *Though his house sits well back from the road, a man on Crooks Creek Road said that a car drove quickly all the way onto his driveway, and out again. *Telephone problems were likely to blame for a 911 hang-up call from Takilma Road around 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6 *In the wee hours of the morning, a woman on Rocky- dale Road heard her mailbox being damaged. *A 26-year-old man was taken into custody on a peace officer’s mental hold after threatening his parents. *Approximately $20 and a bag of candy were taken from a business in Kerby, a man re- ported at 7:45 a.m. *Formerly entrusted with powers of attorney, a woman was now accused of having taken a boat from a Selma stor- age unit without permission. *Parents were squabbling over custody of a child at Ever- green Elementary around 1:41 p.m. *Around 5 p.m. it was reported that three vehicles were off the road and stuck near Page Mountain Snow Park.
