Even if you're living a life of sin, if you ask for forgiveness and amend your ways, you will enjoy My mercy. Much is said among you about deathbed conver- sions. However, even these are acceptable to Me. Such is the nature of mercy. There is no timeline, no probation pe- riod. There is only love and acceptance. Do not despair if your life has been one of vice and self-gratification. You can change if you choose to walk in the way of the Lord. I am always waiting with an open heart and open arms. Jesus knew this well when He was crucified be- tween two thieves. The one who asked for forgiveness for his life's ways was told that he would enter the kingdom of heaven that day. The thief who mocked Jesus, even as he breathed his last, received no such promise. He was unre- pentant to the last. The American Independent Party VIKING FOOTBALL VICTORY - Lorna Byrne Middle School football squad notched a 50-14 win over Rogue River in Cave Junction on Tuesday, Oct. 12. The Vikings’ Sam Winter led the offense with 65 yards rushing, 81 yards on pass reception, and 30 yards in kick-off returns. He had four TDs and one 2-point conversion, for 26 points. Quarterback Jacob Nichols had a great game, completing four of six passing at- tempts, and scoring 4 points on conversions. The Viking defense, led by Anthony Spangler and Lukas Reynolds, was tight, according to coaches, who were very pleased with the team’s performance. LBMS was 4-1 and had one game remaining against Hanby on Tuesday, Oct. 19.
