Childress, 36, was arrested and jailed at 2:16 a.m. in the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy. under a fugitive warrant from Sacra- mento. *American Medical Re- sponse was assisted with an accidental overdose case on Junction Avenue at 9:41 a.m. *Lisa M. Richards, 38, was cited on a charge of pos- session of less than an ounce of marijuana on Happy Camp Road. *In the 3000 block of Caves Hwy., a man said that a cell phone and cigarettes were taken from his unlocked car. *Larry A. Thiessen, 57, was cited and released at the Page Mt. Snow Park on a charge of DUII. *Due to a misunder- standing, it was incorrectly reported that a woman was walking along Eight Dollar Road carrying a dead baby. The child actually had died about a week earlier, and was not being carried. *Because of problems with noise and juvenile peo- ple, a woman on S. Old Stage Road dialed 911. *Shelley R. Hults, 37, was arrested and jailed on Eight Dollar Road under a warrant charging failure to appear (FTA) on an original charge of second-degree PCS. *No injuries were re- ported from a two-vehicle crash on W. Watkins Street after one man said that his brakes locked up in connec- tion with a vehicle that pulled out from a red light. *Somebody was block- ing access to the campground at the green bridge on Eight Dollar Road, but the vehicle was not towed, as the owner showed up. *An employee at Oregon Caves National Monument reported a “suspicious inci- dent” because two Russian men left a tour group. They subsequently rejoined their group, and the complainant was told that a charge of criminal trespass could not be enforced. *Because he was speed- ing, a driver, 18, was warned at Page Mt. Snow Park at 5:35 p.m. *Near Page Mt. Snow Park, Victor J. Starkey, 29, was cited on a charge of unlawful possession of a deer. OSP’s Fish & Game section was to be advised. *In the 5000 block of Lakeshore Drive a man with a shotgun was warned about trespassing after he made threats, according to a com- plainant. *After leaving her wallet in a shopping cart in a CJ store, a woman said that it was missing. Monday, Sept. 20 *Some $100 cash and 20 toy motorcycles and cars were reported missing from a Finch Road address. The sus- pect named by the victim was to contact an officer. *Because a female friend of a female complainant was dating someone’s estranged husband, a woman was phon- ing a Selma business and yelling obscenities on the parking lot. She also put her head through a window at the business, according to the complainant, who wanted her to be “trespassed.” *Someone caused ap- proximately $200 damage by cutting the telephone lines at Siskiyou Community Health Center. *It appeared that a re- ported kidnapping of a girl at Jubilee Park was actually a father telling the girl to get in a vehicle. *Information about a stalking situation was pro- vided a woman at the I.V. Substation. *Someone was trying to cash checks on an account closed 10 years ago, said a woman, who noted that the possible suspect had access to her CJ home. *There was a complaint that two teen-age boy pedes- trians made no effort to get off the roadway at Caves Hwy. and Holland Loop. Tuesday, Sept. 21 *Around 6:14 a.m. some- one complained that a small truck was moving slowly on Hay’s Hill and that it’s rear lights were flickering. *Emergency personnel responded to the Cave Junc- tion Post Office after it was reported that two people in- side a car with the engine running could not be roused. It turned out they were resting and waiting for a tow truck. *Nicole A. McArthur, 37, was arrested at the I.V. Substation by a parole officer on a charge of parole viola- tion, and taken to county jail in Grants Pass. *Hit-and-run in Down- town CJ was reported by a woman, who said that two people in a red pickup truck backed into her vehicle and left. Damage was listed at less than $1,000. *Neither damage nor crime were determined after a call that a man was causing domestic violence on Fir Drive. *“Vicious dogs” chased a man on Cascade Drive, and he had to beat them away with a stick, the man’s wife Page 13 said. She said it’s a continu- ing problem. *Robert L. Pendleton, 30, was arrested at the I.V. Substation on a charge of parole violation, and taken to county jail. *The possibility of a restraining order was consid- ered by a woman who said that her ex-boyfriend was following her and at times chasing her in his vehicle in Cave Junction. *Because a flatbed trailer was parked on a lot, someone thought it might be stolen. It wasn’t. *Several “suspicious men” were hanging around the rear of a CJ business after being told to leave. They were gone again when a dep- uty arrived. *Four people have been sleeping in a car on the CJ Post Office parking lot, and the postmaster wanted them gone.
