Page 8 Illinois Valley News, Cave Junction, OR Wednesday, April 28, 2004 St. Patrick of the Forest Catholic Church On the Fourth Sunday of Easter, we will read about Jesus portrayed as the Good Shepherd in John’s Gospel, “My sheep hear my voice, I know them, and they follow me.” We will also read a selection from Revelations regarding a vision of a great multitude, including, “They stood before the throne and before the Lamb, wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands.” Immanuel United Methodist Church “Pastor David” will teach from John, chapter 10:22-30, wherein Jesus tells how he is like a shep- herd and how the sheep know his voice. There also will be a tale about an Eastern Ore- gon sheepherder and his flock. Sunday School is at 8 a.m. followed by service at 9:15 a.m. Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Sharing a meal with others. Stories of Jesus sharing a meal with others are numerous, but this week’s lesson has to do with a meal Jesus shared with some of his disciples after telling them where to catch fish. In this last story, Jesus makes it clear to Peter that his intention is for Peter to be a fisher of men, to bring the word of God to people.
