Charges can be amended or dismissed.) * * * Thursday, March 18 *A driver was warned for speeding on Redwood Hwy. at Hogue Drive at 4:11 p.m. *The owner of two stolen motorcycles phoned at 4:24 p.m. to report hav- ing found them and the suspected thieves. A dep- uty was dispatched to the 23000 block of Redwood Hwy. The bikes were re- covered and two 17-year- old boys were arrested on charges of first-degree bur- glary, first-degree theft, and two charges of unau- thorized use of a vehicle (UUV). *While camping at Rough & Ready Creek Park, a man’s adult son threatened him, he said. *Walter C. Brown, 64, was cited on a charge of speeding and warned to yield to emergency vehi- cles at milepost 17 of Red- wood Hwy. at 6:53 p.m. *Two women in the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy. were arguing about money at 7:22 p.m. Friday, March 19 *At 1:17 a.m. in the 300 block of S. Kerby Avenue, a woman reported a prowler outside her home. When confronted by a friend of the woman, the man would not answer. A deputy and K-9 partner checked the area, but were unable to locate him. *In the 11000 block of Takilma Road, at 4:29 a.m. a woman said someone had entered her home through a locked door and stolen her purse and per- haps some other items. *An elderly driver was warned for impeding traf- fic in the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 8:48 p.m. *In the 300 block of Kerby Avenue, a woman said her 8-month-old child had been punching buttons on the phone, resulting in an accidental 911 call. *The driver of a red Toyota 4-Runner was driv- ing recklessly and passing vehicles on shoulders and corners near milepost 18 of Redwood Hwy. headed toward Grants Pass, it was reported at 11:40 a.m. *A dog struck by a car in the 400 block of S. Red- wood Hwy. at 3:33 p.m. was checked by a veteri- narian and appeared OK. *An abandoned auto- mobile was reported in the 300 block of Burch Drive. *A vehicle was re- ported stolen from the parking lot at Illinois Val- ley High School. *Unhappy with her doctor’s evaluation of her medical problem, a woman threatened to “go get a shotgun,” the physician reported at 3:05 p.m. The doctor would not be seeing this patient anymore. *A woman in the 32000 block of Redwood Hwy. said her father-in- law was stalking her and her husband. While it was unfounded as stalking, a deputy determined the is- sue might constitute tele- phonic harassment. She was advised of her options. *On S. Old Stage Road, a woman said some- one from a “sex-call line” number keeps phoning her. She was sent a telephonic harassment packet. *Several drivers were warned for defective equipment, missing license plates, and speeding in various places around the valley between 7:52 p.m. and 9:54 p.m. Saturday, March 20 *No information was available for this day. Sunday, March 21 *A tow truck was called for a vehicle broken down on Kerby Mainline Road at 2:17 a.m. *The two occupants of a vehicle which rolled in the 1000 block of Deer Creek Road at 9:15 a.m. left the scene on foot. The driver later returned in an- other vehicle. *While riding his bike near Jubilee Park, several homeless people con- fronted him and one was “verbally abusive and threatening,” a man said at 9:21 a.m. *A woman on Caves Hwy. was advised that to- day was a no-burn day at 10 a.m. *Vehicles reportedly involved in a motor vehi- cle accident on Redwood Hwy. near Lister Street were gone upon a deputy’s arrival. *A woman walking on Redwood Hwy. south of Cave Junction was stagger- ing into traffic and had fallen a couple of times, eliciting a call for assis- tance at 3:33 p.m. But then she got a ride. *Due to previous drug activity, a residence on Naue Way was supposed to be unoccupied, but a caller said there had been vehicles at the residence the previous night. The info was referred to Jose- phine Interagency Narcot- ics Team. *Scott F. Martin was cited to appear on charges of contempt of court, dis- Page 9 orderly conduct, and driv- ing while suspended fol- lowing an incident on Ken Rose Lane at 4:59 p.m. *In the 17000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 5:56 p.m., a man said his neighbors came onto his property and assaulted him because of a burn pile he had going. Monday, March 22 *From Happy Camp Road, a person said they had loaned a bicycle to a (Continued on page 12)
