Illinois Valley News, Cave Junction, OR Wednesday, April 14, 2004 ILLINOIS VALLEY ATTRACTIONS - The Easter egg hunt photos above (by Shane Welsh) show scenes from the annual free community event sponsored by Illinois Valley Lions Club in Jubilee Park in Cave Junction on Sunday, April 11. Besides candy, eggs, and prizes, the event featured I.V. firefighters, K-9 officers and partners from Josephine County Sheriff’s Office, the I.V. Lions train, the Lions’ lion, and of course, the Easter Bunny. The other photos (clockwise from lower right) are from the season-opening 2nd Friday Art Walk in and around Cave Junction: chef Steve Welch and food manager Chris Welcome from Oregon Caves Chateau; Ross Wel- come and Sam Kurz; ‘Lisa M’ with her batiks; youth and adults who participated in a Native American Clay Rattle Project at Cone Ten Pottery and presented a myth per- formance; and Michael Kain with some of his work in Kerby at Amongst the Woods.
