Wilbourn, 23, was arrested on war- rants on charges of failure to appear in connection with fourth-degree assault, possession of a controlled substance/marijuana, and possession of a precursor substance, and lodged in Josephine County Jail. *A horse was seen running “at a full gallop” toward town on Caves Hwy at 1:01 a.m *A reported structure fire in the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy. was deter- mined to be a slash fire that flared at 1:53 a.m. *Community Oriented Policing (COP) was con- ducted in the vicinity of Caves Hwy. and Laurel Road in an attempt to lo- cate the aforementioned galloping horse. *The mother of a girl, 17, who, it was reported, had been attacked by a dog, requested deputy con- tact. The incident was to be referred to county ani- mal control. *A 14-year-old boy was “beyond parental con- trol” in the 8000 block of Holland Loop at 8:24 p.m. *A driver was warned for speeding on Redwood Hwy. near Gold Canyon Drive at 10:26 p.m. Monday, March 8 store in Downtown Cave Junction, a man was re- portedly passed out. He was “trespassed.” *A young woman who chose to tie her shoe while sitting in the middle of Lakeshore Drive prompted a concerned citizen’s call at 5:57 p.m. Tuesday, March 9 *Two drivers were warned for speeding in the vicinity of Sis’s Gap around 10:30 a.m. *Registration and in- surance information was reported stolen from a ve- hicle at 9:34 a.m. at E. River Street and Old Stage Road. *A 16-year-old boy was issued a citation to appear after a shoplifting incident at Shop Smart. *In the 300 block of E. The re- sponding deputy could not find the residence from the directions given and was to try again the next day. *Two or three intoxi- cated adults were on the roof at Evergreen Elemen- tary School at 8:32 p.m. *A driver was warned for failure to maintain a lane in the 32000 block of Redwood Hwy. *In the 1000 block of Naue Way, a man reported a prowler at his back door at 10:14 p.m. The person ran off when the complain- ant’s dogs were loosed. *In the 4200 block of Takilma Road, Pacific Power employees working to replace a broken utility pole requested a deputy take a report for failure to leave name at the scene of an accident at 11:51 p.m. Sunday, March 7 * On Schumacher Street at 1 a.m. a car horn was blaring. Friends of the owner disconnected the battery to disable it. *An alarm at O’Brien Store Country at 1:33 a.m. was due to a break-in. Four six packs of beer were taken. The brand was not listed. *Larry Gayelon Sears, 54, was cited and released in Downtown CJ on a charge of driving under the influence of an intoxicant (DUII), warned for an im- proper right turn, failure to drive on the right side of the road, and failure to obey a traffic control de- vice at 2:03 a.m. His vehi- cle was towed. *A bicycle valued at $1,200 was stolen from the 100 block of Kerby Ave- nue, but then returned. *In the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 4:06 a.m., an enraged woman ran over a man’s mountain bike several times, causing a flat tire and damage to her own car. The man was advised of his options. *Two Suzuki dirt bikes valued at $6,300 were reported taken from a garage on Dogwood Lane. A report was filed for first- degree burglary, two counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and second-degree criminal mischief. *Some 22 sheets of OSB strand board and two propane tanks were taken from a residence under construction on Gemini Lane, said a man. *A man complaining of chest pains in the 23000 block of Redwood Hwy. was airlifted by a Mercy Flights helicopter from Sauer’s Flat. *A man who had ad- mitted taking a mushroom earlier in the day was transported to Three Rivers Co mmu nit y Hosp ital (TRCH). *Young people drink- ing beer in Jubilee Park were noted for patrol info. *A 17-year-old girl was said to have been bit- ten on the chest and arm by a black-and-brown, hound-type dog in the 100 block of S.
