She was born on June 29, 1923 in Larned, Kan. In 1986 she moved to Cave Junction from Santa Rosa, Calif. with her husband. She is survived by her husband, Jim Hansen; two children, six grandchil- dren, five great- grandchildren; and one sister. She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. It is the family’s wish that donations be made to Lovejoy Hospice, 939 SE 8th Street, Grants Pass, OR 97526. Lela Plumlee Former Selma resident Lela L. Plumlee, 89, of Grants Pass died on Satur- day, Dec. 13, 2003 at a Grants Pass rehabilitation center. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, Dec. Tyneal Points and Bryan Simon Bryan Simon, Tyneal Points announce their engagement Mr. and Mrs. Paul Simon announce the en- gagement of their son, Bryan, to Tyneal Points. The engagement took place at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant in the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. Simon is a 1995 gradu- ate of Illinois Valley High School and a 2000 gradu- ate of Oregon State Uni- versity. Points is a 1994 graduate of Clatskanie High School and a 2000 graduate of Oregon State University. He is employed with Proctor and Gamble in the pharmaceutical division in Cincinnati, Ohio. She works in property manage- ment at the Drees Corpora- tion in Mason, Ohio. No wedding date has been set. St. Patrick of the Forest Catholic Church The celebration of Christmas will begin Wednesday, Dec. 24 with Mass at 7 p.m. The Gospel reading will be from Luke which describes the events lead- ing up to the birth of Christ, and continuing through to the passage, “Glory to God in the high- est and on Earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” The Christmas Day Mass at 10 a.m. will in- clude the Gospel Acclama- tion: “A holy day has dawned upon us. Come, you nations, and adore the Lord. For today a great light has come upon the earth,” followed by a read- ing from Chapter 1 of John’s Gospel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ar- thur Glen Plumlee and two children.
