Charges can be amended or dis- missed.) *** Sunday, Dec. 30 * Li s a Ray Hazzard, 40, was arrested on a war- rant for the previ- ous charge of pos- session of a con- trolled substance of methampheta- mine in the 400 block of N. Old Stage Road. *In the 400 block of S. Red- wood Hwy. a man said several items were missing from his truck including a paintball gun, paintballs, and a CD player. Some- one broke his back window to gain entry. *In the 400 block of S. Red- wood Hwy. a man said items were missing from his vehicle and his driver’s side win- dow was broken. *A woman in the 500 block of Schumacher Street said two of her vehicles were van- dalized. One was spray painted and someone went through the glove box of the other. Deputies filed a report for criminal mischief. He told deputies he was going to move off the property. *A woman in the 18200 block of Redwood Hwy. said her daughter was a runaway. She called back to say the daughter returned home. *In the 2600 block of Holland Loop Road a woman said her former boyfriend was stalking her. Deputies warned the man of tres- passing, harass- ment and stalking laws. *A woman in the 1700 block of Laurel Road said her large dog was hit by a car in front of her house. Her husband was eld- erly and unable to move the dog. Some neighbors helped. Monday, Dec. 1 *A man said three cars parked behind Illinois Valley High School were dam- aged during the weekend. The cars, used in machine shop classes, were jacked up and the tires were missing. *A woman said vandals dam- aged underground water pipes and spray painted buildings at Ever- green Elementary School during the weekend. “East Side” was spray painted on a build- ing. The woman took Polaroids be- fore the damage was cleaned. *In the 100 block of S. Red- wood Hwy. a man said another man hit him in the face with an open fist. Tuesday, Dec. 2 *Timothy Pope, 14, and Jacob Woodward, 12, were cited and released on charges of second- degree theft in the 100 block of N. Old Stage Road for attempting to steal a water fountain. They were both released to their parents. *A woman in the 100 block of Warren Road said mail was missing from her mailbox. She said bills have been missing for several months. Deputies filed a report for third- degree theft. *At Jubilee Park a man said foul language was spray painted on several outbuild- ings. He shot pho- tographs of the vandalism. The case was re- ferred to juvenile justice. *A woman in the 100 block of Warren Road said a man was driving back and forth in front of her house and followed her when she left in violation of a re- straining order. Deputies said it was unfounded as a crime. *On Wood Creek Road, a citi- zen said a red Jeep with no tires or wheels was in the creek. A tow truck was called. *Deputies re- sponded to a report of a motor home on fire in the 23000 block of Redwood High- way. Fire officials described the vehi- cle as “Mickey Moused” and “a rolling gas bomb.” *In the 5000 block of Westside Road, a man said 12 blank checks and a credit card were missing from his home. *A citizen said two men in a pick- up truck were spot- lighting deer in the 8000 block of Hol- land Loop Road at 7:50 p.m. *On Warren Road, a woman said her ex- husband pushed her. Prior to that, a vehicle had driven past honk- ing its horn and she heard gun- shots. She con- tacted a suspect on his cell phone, and he denied it, even though his phone number was on her caller ID. Depu- ties said it was un- founded as a stalk- ing order violation. Wednesday, Dec. 3 *A man in the 900 block of Old Stage Road said an older Toyota Ter- cel was abandoned on the road. The windows were bro- ken and it had flat tires. *In the 3800 block of Takilma Road a man said a metal detector, camping gear and a generator were missing from his home. The items were recovered. *At a business in the 500 block of Redwood Hwy. a woman said her vehicle’s windows were broken out. She had suspect information. *A man in the 100 block of N. Boundary Avenue said a cat trap and leaf blower were missing from his yard. The total listed value of the items was $210. *A woman said a vehicle was going to be repos- sessed from the 200 block of W. River Street. *In the 1600 block of Lone Mountain Road a woman said her 18-year-old son was missing. She said he may have left with his girl- friend. Deputies found a suicide note but it was un- clear if they found it at his home or the girlfriend’s home. Deputies filed a report for a missing person. *A man in the 5600 block of Caves Hwy. said he was the victim of identity theft. *In the 200 block of Ollis Road a man said someone broke a window and en- tered his motor home. A crystal light catcher with a listed value of $50 was missing. *In the 24500 block of Redwood Hwy. a man said he paid another man $567 for an engine but he never received the item. A woman told him he would have to pay more to get the item shipped. He was advised of his civil options. *In the 1000 block of Kirkham Road a man said a woman with a gun was screaming for him to call the cops. She was yell- ing at a man she Page 9 said kidnapped her child. The 10- or 11-year-old child was in the man’s car. Deputies made contact with the parties involved and the case is open pending in- vestigation. *A woman at a business in the 300 block of Caves Hwy. said an in- toxicated unruly female was in her office. She wanted the “obnoxious” woman to leave but did not want her to drive. A man, who was un- able to drive for some reason, came in to the office to get the woman. The intoxicated woman drove her- self and the man up Caves Hwy. toward the Caves. Oregon State Po- lice were notified. *A woman in the 200 block of McMullen Creek Road said a man had been harassing her on the phone for a month. *In the 2600 block of Holland Loop Road a man said he heard banging on his property possibly from someone stepping on a 55- gallon drum. He also saw someone looking in his win- dow earlier in the week. Thursday, Dec. 4 *In the 1300 block of Caves Hwy. a woman wanted the welfare of her daughter checked on. Her daughter was OK but didn’t have phone service. *Kristopher W. Simpson, 14, was cited and re- leased to his par- ents for second- degree theft after a teacher at Lorna Byrne Middle School said ap- proximately 25 CDs and a CD case was missing from her classroom. *In the 1700 block of Lone Mountain Road a man said his land- lord claimed a dep- uty was coming to evict him. The ten- ant was told to contact deputies if the problem esca- lated. The landlord was told he could- n’t serve the evic- tion for several more days. *A man in the 3000 block of Lone Mountain Road said he was unable to complete driveway repairs because he was having problems with his neighbor over easement rights. Deputies advised them of their civil options. *At Shop Smart Food Ware- house in Down- town Cave Junc- tion a woman said a customer was cussing at custom- ers and asking peo- ple for help. *In the 400 block of Laurel Road a man said someone spray painted satanic words and neo- Nazi slogans on a church building. The listed damage was $500. Deadline for valley businesses to enter the Illinois Valley Chamber of Commerce Christmas Decorations Contest is Saturday, Dec. 20.
