Charges can be amended or dismissed.) * * * Thursday, April 24 *A mom in the 7800 block of Caves Hwy. reported her teen-age son as being “out of control.” *A juvenile person re- ported as a runaway earlier in the day was later located at Illinois Valley High School, and the report was canceled. *A citizen reported that the rules sign in “Forks” State Park was pulled from the ground. *In the 100 block of Hol- ton Creek Road, a woman re- ported that someone had en- tered her garage, but that noth- ing had been taken. *Assistance was rendered to a woman at the I.V. Substa- tion, who requested transport for a juvenile to the Juvenile Justice Center in Grants Pass. *An employee at Illinois Valley High School reported that a student’s vehicle had been broken into. *In the 200 block of Wat- kins Street a man reported another man making verbal threats to him and his son. *Everett Scott, 34, and a juvenile female were cited on charges of third-degree theft at Shop Smart Food Warehouse. *In the 7800 block of Caves Hwy. a juvenile was reported as a runaway. *In the 1500 block of Dick George Road a man complained of being harassed on the telephone. Friday, April 25 *Several items including a CB radio and portable air compressor were reported taken from the camper shell of a pickup in the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. *There was a reported non-injury traffic accident at Redwood Hwy. and Caves Hwy. *In the 100 block of N. Redwood Hwy. someone re- ported a person videotaping activity near the drive-through portion of Klamath First Bank. Turns out it was a woman who just bought a new video camera and was playing with it while her husband was inside a business. *There were complaints regarding a male juvenile driving through town in a reckless manner. The subject’s mother was notified and said she would handle the incident. *In the 100 block of Hol- ton Creek Road a man re- ported a puppy being tied to a pole with no food or water. Turns out the dog had suffi- cient food and water and pro- tection from the weather. *Shots were heard in the 7800 block of Caves Hwy. *A deputy counseled a man and woman having a ver- bal dispute in the 30000 block of Redwood Hwy. Saturday, April 26 *An alarm sounded in the 900 block of Reeves Creek Road. All was well. *There was a non-injury accident at Redwood Hwy. and Kerby Mainline Road. *People heard shots being fired in the 200 block of N. Old Stage Road at 10:21 p.m. Sunday, April 27 *In the 38000 block of Redwood Hwy. a man com- plained that a neighbor was walking her dog on his prop- erty. Monday, April 28 *An unconscious man was reported in the 5800 block of Rockydale Road. *A woman from Califor- nia called to request a welfare check on her sister in the 900 block of Reeves Creek Road, who had been ill, and could not be reached by phone. *There was a reported non-injury accident at Old Stage Road and E. River Street. *In the 500 block of Caves Hwy. a woman re- ported that someone had taken two cameras. *A woman complained about being harassed by an- other woman on the phone. * A person complained that a table saw, mitre saw and 10 windows were missing from a residence in the 2500 block of Dick George Road. *A person in the 17000 block of Redwood Hwy. com- plained that a man came on to her rental property and yelled at her to get off the land. He then pulled out a gun, but left without firing it. *There was a 911 hang-up call from a residence in the 300 block of Old Stage Road. The caller stated, “Never mind, It wasn’t what I thought it was.” *A man complained that a neighbor in the 100 block of Hogue was taking drugs in front of children. No drugs were found by deputies. *A citizen reported an alarm was going off in the 900 block of Reeves Creek Road. The resident was able to turn off the alarm and the alarm company was notified. *Donald Worthey, 42, was cited on charges of driv- ing under the influence of an intoxicant, careless driving, and driving without an opera- tor’s permit in the 100 block of Deer Creek Road. Evergreen GP branch held up by a tall man A suspect described by Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety (GPDPS) as a white male adult in his mid-40s with crooked teeth, dark hair and wearing aviator-style sun- glasses and a tan baseball cap fled the GP Evergreen Federal Bank branch on Tuesday, May 6 with an undisclosed amount of money. The robbery occurred at around 2 p.m. when the sus- pect approached a bank teller and demanded money, accord- ing to a GPDPS news release. The suspect indicated he had a gun, although no gun was seen, the release said. After being given an un- certain amount of cash, the suspect quickly walked out of the west side of the bank, lo- cated at 969 S.E. Sixth St., and was last seen headed south toward the GP Caveman Bridge, GPDPS said. Other suspect traits noted by GPDPS: Crooked teeth with some decay, weight be- tween 185-190 pounds, 6-1 to 6-2 in height, and wearing a tan or dark brown lined coat and possibly denim jeans.
