The Le Meitours came up with ideas of capturing the feeling of the village with im- ages of places most would recognize. Casson, who lives in Multnomah Village, spent a lot of time drawing last summer at the French Quarter. “Together, we crafted ideas for each month,” Casson told The Post. “I was thrilled to be commissioned to be the illustrator.” For example, January features a snow-laden village with a horse drawn sleigh and an igloo in the middle of the road. August depicts a woman riding a horse in a desert scene in front of several storefronts. Casson said she has received many lovely compliments on the calendar. Calendars are available for sale for $20 at the French Quarter and other boutiques in Multnomah Village. – Erik Vidstrand
