Remember to report your hunting, fishing harvests Siletz flag joins others at Standing Rock protest site By Mama Whitebear On the behalf of Siletz Tribal Elder Dino Butler and family, I would like to put my hands up for the utmost respect to the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians Tribal Council for giving us the honor of driving and placing their Tribal flag in solidarity and support of the Standing Rock No Pipe Line along with 120 other Tribes’ flags on their ancestral lands. Thank you Luhui Whitebear-Cupp, representing Coastal Band of the Chu- mash and Southwest nations, for driving us there and following the direction given from Creator to take our family pipe and other family flags to honor John Trudell and Nilack Butler to DAPL. Much honor to our grandchildren Chechio and Aqiwo-Xus who walked us all in. Masi, Anthony Anderson for As the hunting season begins, Tribal members are reminded to report harvests of deer, elk, salmon and shellfish to the Natural Resources Department. Per the Tribal Hunting, Fishing and Gathering Ordinance, the Tribal member issued a tag is personally responsible for reporting within three business days if a tag is filled. Names of Tribal members issued tags who report filled tags are entered into one of the incentive drawings below. Drawings for incentives occur after the season has ended.
