The CARE Program attended events throughout October spreading awareness of Domestic Violence ACTION Month. Chinook Winds Employee Health Fair Siletz Community Women's Health Fair SVS Family Night SVECA Football Game Radio Shows Tribally owned DEE NE Gifts supported Paint the Town PUPRLE by offering a grape Italian soda as their daily special and 50 cents off any drink if the customer was wearing purple. Businesses throughout Siletz displayed purpled lights all month in their windows to support the cause. This was the second year of the Siletz Clothesline Project. Over 50 shirts were displayed October 10- 12 on Main Street in Siletz encouraging awareness of Domestic Violence ACTION Month. Community members completed the statements “I say NO MORE because:”.
