On Oct. 17, the Siletz Community Health Clinic held its annual Women’s Health Night. It was a Halloween-themed event with the goals of creating a sense of community among female patients of the clinic, raising awareness of health issues, screening women as a preventative measure and empowering women to take control of their health. The Health Night, also called the Pap-A-Thon, served 40 women who made their health a priority. Among the informational brochures, booths and health care professionals, there was an abundance of food and raffle prizes. The Siletz Clinic, the Tribe and the community of Siletz would like to thank those who donated to the event. The success of the Pap-A-Thon would not have occurred without the generous dona- tions from: Bayscapes Gallery & Coffeehouse Bike Newport Blockbuster Bowwowmeow Breach the Moon Gallery Café Mundo Charisma Gifts Jambo World Crafts JC Market (Toledo) Jovi Made In Oregon La Maison Local Ocean Seafoods Mai’s Asian Market Oceanic Arts Oregon Coast Aquarium Ossie’s Surf Shop Peerless Puffin Sandcastle Toys The Edge Art Gallery Vendors invited to annual Gathering of Oregon’s First Nations Pow-wow Tribal member vendors have first shot at tables for event in Salem Tribal members of the five federally recognized Western Oregon Tribes have the first opportunity to secure vendor tables for the fifth annual Gathering of Oregon’s First Nations Pow-Wow at the State Fairgrounds Pavilion in Salem, Ore., on Jan. 26, 2013.
