Siletz News captures 7 awards in media contest sponsored by NAJA
The Siletz Tribe is pleased to
announce that its monthly newspaper,
Siletz News, received seven awards in
the 2012 Native American Journalists
Association media contest.
In the Division 5 (circulation of less
than 5,000) monthly/bimonthly category,
the newspaper staff received the following
awards for its work in 2011 :
General Excellence - second place
Best Layout - second place
Best Feature Story - Natasha Kava­

bear traditional 111 marks on their

Kavanaugh. This
was the first year
that categories were
broken out by circulation.
