Way to go, boys! Butler plays in all-star baseball series From the whole Butler Tribe I would like to congratulate my son, Leland “Brother” Butler Jr., on being selected to participate in the East-West 3A/2A/1A All-Star Baseball Series held at Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore. Brother represented the Warriors with heart, playing first base for the West team and helping it win two of three games. Brother also was selected to the first team all-league pitcher; he threw 47.3 innings and recorded 80 strikeouts. He also was third team all-state as a designated hitter with a .457 batting average as a member of the Siletz Warriors baseball team. Great job, Brother! And congratulations on your gradu ation from Siletz Valley Early College Academy. Courtesy photo Leland ‘‘Brother" Butler Jr. If you receive per capita distribu tion, it is considered income. It must be counted in the month in which you receive it. If you think the amount puts you over income for August, call us and we will tell you if you are still eligible. If you have a child in your household who is a Siletz Tribal member and that child receives the lump sum distribution, that too must be counted as a resource in the household unless the money is depos ited into a college education fund. In that case, you must provide documentation that shows the account deposit.
