Lewis to give solo acoustic concert McHale brings his standup comedy Something Like Me, Anywhere But Here Aaron Lewis, lead vocalist of the style to the beach for 1 night of laughs and Sleeping at the Wheel. hit band Staind, is one of those versatile must-see talents and he’ll be at Chinook Winds Casino Resort on June 24-25. Lewis sings with a soulful sound that gets to the heart of the audience with his solo acoustic tour. He will perform chart-topping country songs including the singles 75 and The Story Never Ends. He has been performing solo acoustic shows since he was 17. He has written and performs several songs that have never officially been released, including Angel, In July 2010, Lewis finished record ing a country music album entitled Town Line that was released March 1, 2011. It features seven tracks, including three versions of its first single, Country Boy, featuring George Jones, Charlie Daniels and Chris Young. This concert is part of Chinook Winds’ 16th anniversary celebration. Fireworks will follow the Saturday night concert at approximately 10:15 p.m. Show time is 8 p.m. Tickets range from $ 15 to $30. Get your team together for Golf for Hope, raise money for Relay For Life Chinook Winds Casino Resort is honored to present the second annual Golf for Hope Tournament benefiting the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life on May 14. The tournament will take place at Chinook Winds Golf Resort, 3245 NE 50,h in Lincoln City, Ore. The format is four-person scramble for only $100 per player. Shotgun start is at 9:30 a.m. Check-in starts at 8 a.m. and a putting contest begins at 8:45 a.m. The entry fee includes golf, cart, lunch and great prizes. Team prizes include top three in both gross and Callaway divisions. Putting contests, longest drive and KP prizes will enhance the day of fun as well as tee prizes so people don’t walk away empty-handed. If you think you might need extra help, Mulligans will be for sale to help teams get closer to the prize. Cancer affects so many people and that is why Chinook Winds Casino Resort is doing all it can to help raise awareness and much-needed funds for the fight. Television, will perform live one night only at Chinook Winds on May 21 at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Also known for his role as Jeff Winger on Community, McHale is one comedian you won’t want to miss. In 2004, McHale began hosting The Soup, a satirical weekly television show. During the show, he takes the audience through the oddities and ridiculous hap penings of the week in television. He frequently appears as a co-host on Loveline and also has had a long associa tion with Circle X Theatre, where he has done several plays McHale made a guest appearance on the finale of the sixth season of Last Comic Standing, where he recapped the show’s events in his typical format of jokes made popular on The Soup.
