National WWII Museum accepting nationwide entries for essay contest The National WWII Museum has announced its essay contest theme for 2011: “Why should we remember Pearl Harbor?” This essay contest is open to middle and high school students across the country. High school students have the chance to win as much as $1,000 and middle school students can win $250. Essays must be submitted through the National WWII Museum’s essay contest website by March 31, 2011. These essays give students an opportunity to express themselves creatively while focusing on the meaning and legacy of the WWII years.
