Blair Showcases Humor Developed Two Country Legends Create Two
on Tour with Dangerfield, Carlin
Unforgettable Shows for Anniversary
Dennis Blair headlines Comedy on
the Coast at Chinook Winds Casino Re
sort on June 11-12. Joining him in this
weekend of laughs are Joe Charles and
Drew Barth.
Early in his career, Rodney Danger-
field made Blair his protégé and together
they toured the United States and Canada
tor more than three years. Blair conceived
and co-wrote Dangerfield's hit movie Easy
Money and also played two cameo roles.
He co-wrote and was a featured actor in
two Dangerfield specials on ABC and was
creative consultant for the album Rappin'
Rodney. The title song (which he co-wrote)
Dennis Blair
was nominated for a Grammy Award.
Blair’s post-Dangerfield career has
seen him opening for a multitude of celebrities, such as Tom Jones, The Beach Boys, Garry
Shandling, Joan Rivers, Gloria Estefan, Jackie Mason and George Carlin, with whom he
toured for more than 18 years. He has appeared on The Tonight Show several times.
Charles is a former Marine turned professional standup comedian from Southern
California. His comedy comes from his crazy childhood, difficulty with relationships,
the military experience, alcohol adventures, everyday hypocrisy and whatever other
weird stuff that leaks into his brain.
Charles has performed in venues across the country, including Stand-Up New
York, The Columbus Funny Bone, Houston s The Comedy Showcase and San Diego’s
The Comedy Palace.
Barth was bom just outside of Seattle and what started as a dare in high school
has become a full-time career. He has risen through the ranks of local open mics to
become a regular performer at comedy clubs, colleges, casinos and private events up
and down the West Coast.
His easily relatable nature coupled with a smart and clean sense of humor make
for a show that audiences of all ages can enjoy.
