Census Bureau Recruiting for 2010 Census Workers in Tribal Community The U.S. r' Census Bureau, an equal opportunity employer, once again is recruiting for persons wishing to work on the 2010 Census. In order to be considered for census jobs, applicants must first take a half-hour employment test. The test will be offered multiple times and in a number of differ ent locations. Interested persons should call the toll-free jobs line, 866-861 -2010, for additional information and to register for a test. When making decisions, we must first consider the good of the people. If every per son in the community thinks this way, then we will always make strong decisions. To finalize the strategic plan for the Drug-Free Communities grant application, a planning meeting will be held with staff and CEDARR community members on Jan. 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Siletz Tribal Community Center. “I hope the process I use will engage people and get their creative juices flowing,” said Pump. CEDARR is looking to have strong partnerships with the following 12 com munity sectors - youth; parents; business community; media; school; youth-serving organizations; law enforcement agencies; religious or fraternal organizations; civic and volunteer groups; health care professionals; state, local or Tribal agencies with experience in the field of substance abuse; and other organizations involved in reduc ing substance abuse. Wicklund encourages others to take part too. “If you work with youth or have expertise that may help us in this process, your attendance would be very helpful,” she said. You can take one arrow and break it in half. Take 12 arrows in a bundle and it’s almost impossible to break any of them. It’s time to let our decisions have the strength of the bundle.
