Start the New Year with Four Entertainers at Best of Comedy on the Coast ar Chin^v o... _7A ™ Chinook Winds with Best of Comedy on the Coast, set for Jan. 1 -2. Davis is the co-creator and producer of Comedy on the Coast. He began as a 60s guitar-playing folk singer, playing bars and at the beach. In 1978, Davis opened as a solo comedian for Eddie Rabbitt and since then has opened many concerts for such legendary stars as George Burns, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Vince Gill and Larry Gatlin. He has headlined all over the United States as a solo standup comedian or a one-man corporate showman and is a USO performer for our military aboard several aircraft carriers at sea and for our Marines in the field (he is a veteran, a USMC corpsman). Larry Gatlin opened many doors for Davis into celebrity and pro golf events, where Davis became known as “The Golf Comic in 1980. He is still going strong in all areas and is a total package for any stage event. Michael Finney began as a magician bartender at the Golden Eagle Restaurant in Phoenix, Ariz. In 1986, he was a finalist on Star Search with Ed McMahon and in 1987 he received the Silver Lions Head from Siegfried & Roy for comedy and magic. Finney continued to work comedy clubs across the United States up to 40 weeks a year. He made six appearances on Fox’s Comic Strip Live, HBO’s Comic on the Road, Sunday Comics with Lenny Clark, Bud Friedman’s Evening at the Improv and two NBC specials hosted by John Ritter, World's Greatest Magic and World’s Wildest Magic. At 3 feet 6 inches tall, Tanya Davis is the Ferrari of comedy — low to the ground and kind of racy. She started doing stand-up-on-a-chair in 1990 after a brief but disappointing NBA career. Today she has brought com edy to new heights, headlining clubs and colleges throughout the world. Tanyalee has made a small, yet sig nificant dent in the entertainment scene thus far. What she lacks in height she makes up in tenacity. Known as “the little lady with a lot of big laughs,” Tanyalee’s Kenny Bob Davis fresh perspective, from the ground up, inspires, enlightens and entertains her audiences. Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermits, Micky Dolenz of The Monkees and Mark Lindsay, former lead singer of Paul Revere and The Raiders, will take the stage and bring back memories of times gone by. This year’s event will be held Dec. 2-5. Angels Anonymous, a 50I (c)(3) non-profit foundation, provides immediate and basic assistance to those tn need in the greater Lincoln City area. The program helps those who have exhausted every other avenue of assistance to meet basic short-term needs Il may be the young mother left to fend for herself with no money to feed her chil- dren, an elderly man who has had his heat turned off in the dead of winter or a young man desperately in need of employment who receives assistance. It's anonymous and a one-time-only helping hand extended to residents of north Lincoln County. Approximately 30 trees, decorated and sponsored by local businesses and individu als who not only spend hours decorating them but several hundred dollars in decorations on each tree as well, will be on display at this year’s Fantasy of Trees. In past years, the themes of the individual trees have included Betty Boop, firemen, Hany Potter, chocolates, peacocks, roses, ballerinas, fishing, old-fashioned Christmas hand-carved ornaments and many splendidly trimmed in specific colors The decorating of the Christmas trees will begin Dec. I at noon. Sponsors have until noon the following day to finish their trees and have them ready for viewing The viewing of the trees will commence at noon on Dec. 2 and will continue through Dec.5, concluding with the auction that evening at the Holiday Ball In addition to the auctioning of trees, there will be numerous drawings special auction items, gingerbread houses to bid on and gift boxes for sale with secret surprises donated by local merchants. p Bring the whole family to view this wonderland of the Christmas season featuring exceptional trees decorated beyond imagination.
